After a couple months of operating as a "not-for-profit," the Aqualis Market is thrilled to announce that we are officially adopting this model indefinitely!
Each month, we'll retain just enough DECs to cover our server costs. The remaining funds will be reinvested into the community through automated cashbacks, leaderboard prizes, and any surplus DECs will be used to buy back and burn non-reward CL edition cards as well as burn DEC, strengthening the ecosystem!
Rationale
The Aqualis Market has always been a secondary project within the Aqualis ecosystem, which was designed to draw more attention to the Aqualis Protocol itself. At its core, the Aqualis Protocol is an innovative DeFi platform launching on Ethereum and other L1 and L2 networks. The protocol introduces an innovative AMM that enables liquidity to be utilized simultaneously for both decentralized exchanges (DEX) and money markets. This unique approach allows depositors to earn from multiple sources with a single deposit, while traders and borrowers benefit from reduced fees.
By enhancing capital efficiency, we aim to foster increased liquidity, lower fees, and greater rewards within the DeFi space, ultimately creating a more attractive and sustainable ecosystem for all users.
With this vision in mind, we have decided to commit to launching the Aqualis Protocol as soon as possible and shift the Aqualis Market to a not-for-profit, designed to fully support the Splinterlands community.

From the beginning, the Aqualis Market has offered 70% fee-rebate or 2.8% cash back to all users, paid into their in game balance within seconds
Leaderboard Prizes
The ongoing monthly leaderboard prizes will be as follows:
- 1st place: 90% effective fee rebate
- 2nd place: 87% effective fee rebate
- 3rd place: 84% effective fee rebate
- 4th place: 81% effective fee rebate
- 5th place: 79% effective fee rebate
- 6th place: 76% effective fee rebate
- 7th place: 73% effective fee rebate
- 25th place: 125% effective fee rebate
- 69th place: 420% effective fee rebate
- 88th place: 888% effective fee rebate
The 70% fee rebate is automatically paid out while the leaderboard prizes are manually distributed at the end of each month
Order of Fund Usage
The Aqualis Market may not be able to generate enough revenue each month to pay for leaderboard prizes and servers, so below is the order of funding:
- leaderboard prizes
- server costs
- CL buy back and burn
- DEC burn
We will buy back and burn max level non-reward CL cards depending on market liquidity and how close they are to their burn value. All DECs generated from this will be recycled into either buying more CL cards, or burned.
What's Next for the Aqualis Protocol?
TGE! The launch of the $AQL token marks a significant milestone after more than two years of building the Aqualis Protocol from the ground up. With no VCs, angel investors, or major funding rounds, Aqualis is essentially launching "debt-free," without a large backlog of pre-sale or private contributors looking to sell. This gives $AQL huge room for growth.

The $PNS project is not related to Aqualis in any way, but it is something I started as a community project a while back! When SPS price waned, so did the community but I am trying to rebuild it as we speak, check our latest announcements on Discord and TG.
