Like I posted above, I think these casual/comp events need to be for an equal ante. I would support an event where players/guilds enter for a fee in DEC that is burned and that fee is matched by the DAO in terms of prizing for the events. The burning of DEC to unlock DEC that the DAO never wants to sell is a benefit to all players since it removes DEC from circulation without the need of any sell pressure. Win-Win in my book.

5M DEC for 6 months worth of tourneys. That's probably the lowest amount of funding anyone has ever requested from the DAO....

If it is so little why don’t you crowdfund money. Easy enough.

Yes, you have to convert DEC to get Guild Power. Yes, it is taking it from the DAO.

In the current state of the game, I can tell you right now that probably 99% of players are not wasting DEC on guild buildings at the moment. Thus, new players that may be joining aren't getting in on the Guild benefits since no one is focusing on building up their Guilds.

I'm not looking for much. I just want to add a new entertainment avenue to the game while also helping mainly new players by building Guilds and incentivizing playing with the community.

Guild is a product and a commodity. You give a product out for free and that product will never be valued.

A strong NO from me. Thank you for writing the proposal

You could look at it as advertising-spend to increase the emotional connection that newer people have with the game. Guild versus Guild matches will help players bond with their guildies and increase the chance of people wanting to join guilds to join in on the banter.

No question about the usefulness of guild and it’s impact on the game.

Why not make these zero-sum tournaments? We already have SPSDAO running events.

Collect DEC as the entry fee and pay it back out as Guild Power.
