RE: A sad realization about Splinterlands Hive Resource Extraction :(

in #splinterlands14 days ago (edited)

That is not an easy topic. Since I know you for a while, I also know your agenda. Its not bad, but its not practical.

  • The SPS distribution we can't control at hive. That is upto the game design and the SPS DAO
  • Any changes there will require a stake-weighted vote from the SPS stakeholders only
  • Scholars are like professional players in my mind. They are playing for living, so they have to sell to sustain living expenses
  • Scholars and the game is a symbiotic relationship still. Scholars will need a sustainable game. And a sustainable game will need scholars.

Agreed, it's not an easy topic. Also, thanks for saying I'm not bad agenda 😍 I'm glad you know (I hope others know too!) I really only want the entire ecosysytem, SPL and now HIVE too---and all of us along with it---to succeed. That's my sole agenda, always, 100% of the time. Idk even why? There's just something about this. It's hard to put in words.

Anyway, what I raised is an SPL issue not HIVE. I agree with that 100%. So but regardless, it makes me glad I started staking all my HIVE rewards instead of swapping to SPS! I guess also along those lines, even though we don't always agree on everything, I second what @captaindingus said in the post above--it's from taking advice from you @azircon that go me on a better track with undertstanding HIVE, the community, what matters, what doesn't etc. And also what convinced me to invest in HIVE not just SPL. I still have a long way to go, but thank you for that 🙏

Why does a sustainable game need scholars?

It doesn’t if we have 100K human players
