This week's battle challenge is the CRUEL SETHROPOD! The CRUEL SETHROPOD is a water melee attacker from the Chaos Legion set that has no ability but lots of shield and health for a little league card.
About the card:
The card has no ability at all. Yep, you heard me right! Even at maxed out levels. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable. Just look at the stats. Seven health and six shields. Mana cost? 3! So when do these stats have the most value? Well because of the extra armor for a little league card, you can say weak magic ruleset, small mana battles (less than 20), equalizer ruleset, melee mayhem and only melee battles.
So without further ado, let’s begin the battle, shall we?

So (I know I overuse the word “so”) it’s an only melee battle. Not the best situation to benefit this card’s stats. But it is what it is. I just wanted a 3 mana card to fill up for back, and who’s better than this guy? Actually he (He?!) survived two rounds! Even with the poison of Uraeus and 7 attacks each round! Although it was 2+ to everybody’s armor and my summoner had 1+ shield to everybody, BUT it really helped me to neutralize the attack of those sneak monsters for two rounds. And I’m telling you it’s not about how many legendries you use, but it’s about how you use your maxed out common and rare cards in order to benefit the ruleset or neutralize enemy’s legendry cards.
So to break down the cards I used, It’s an only melee battle. In this ruleset, The idea is to use cards with shield ability to minus one melee attack of enemy, use demoralize to further minus one and hope that they attack front and back. Thus (so?) because of the shield ability their attack falls to zero and voila, you won!
But it’s more complicated than that. Because of splinter and/or mana limitations.
So I chose Blue, but why these monsters?
(before I start explaining my choices, have in mind, this is a scholarship account and all I have are chaos cards and not even all of them.)
Diemonshark at front: lots of armor, trample ability, Rage ability.
Flying Squid at second: reach ability, blind ability. (believe me blind is underrated!)
Legionnaire Alvar: Demoralize ability. (-1 attack of enemy melee)
Deeplurker: opportunity, poison. (when the poison happens it’s like you’re making money when you’re sleep!)
Disintegrator: more Demoralize ability. (-1 attack of enemy melee)
CRUEL SETHROPOD: purely for its armor and back protection.
so as you can see, every card served its purpose. just look how many misses they had. ( 6 in total!) it's all thanks to blind and +1 speed of summoner. something that worth mentioning is that blind doesn't care about flying ability! minus two of melee attack, minified the sneak attack. and all the misses in the world was on my side. so to end this article and the battle together in a gif:
