Hello beautiful people of Splinterlands
It has been long since I joined the contest. This couple of weeks have been very busy for me and posting here has become a problem. I really want to be a part of give every second if possible but responsibilities don't allow.
So for this week I was inspired by the Xenith Archer and I thought to do something on It.
I began with a sketch, usually I do a couple sketches until I decide on the pose I want. Now because I'm drawing an archer I knew drawing in perspective would look way cooler. After a couple pose sketch I decided on this one. Fore shorting always gives your piece more depth to it, I always say.
With the sketch down, I go straight to laying down the flat colours on top of the sketch, using the sketch as some what of an outline.
After I'm satisfied with the flats, I then put in the shadows or shades as I prefer to call them. With the shades in, I use the 'blur brush' to give it more volume, that is to make it less flat.
Of course I had to put in a background, I'm not a big on backgrounds so I wanted to give a forest green vibe, so I put in an old painting of mine and blur it in. I then I add in a few leaves, blur those too cuz, let's face it, its looks cooler that way. Finally I add some leave shadow on her and voila, our Xenith Archer piece is done.
The Final look
I hope you like it as much as I do, and bug congratulations to last week's winners!
