Splinterlands Markets - Your thoughts?

Market Updates

As you may recall, I was quite involved with Splinterlands (at that time, SteemMonsters) and I even launched a market. I fell on tough times, let that slip, and never recovered. I'm still quite sad it all played out that way.

I've watched the market go through significant revisions and updates and recently decided to begin selling my collection, with prices reasonably high these days. With my collection worth several thousand USD, which is tens of thousands of HIVE, the standard market rate 5% felt a little high. Fortunately, I can construct my own transactions and set a lower rate. I found that anything below 5% delisted the card from the main @splinterlands market, but anything above zero would show on @monstermarket and @peakmonsters so I set my cards at 1%.

Over the past few months I have sold a great number of cards, but recently that came to a full stop. After some research, I learned that @monstermarket and @peakmonsters have also removed cards below the standard market rate, so all of mine disappeared. I tested re-listing at 4.99% and it didn't appear on either market.

Now I'm left to just pay full price fees. Or am I?

New Market?

Getting right to it, should I launch another market?!

My bigger question is, where do the existing markets fall short? What more could I offer?

Obviously, I'd list all cards, regardless of market rate, but what else would you like to see?

I've been too disconnected for far too long to have a good pulse on anything so I'm leading with nothing.

I'm mostly interested to see how much enthusiasm there is for something like this, since I know how much work it actually is. Haha, maybe nobody really cares, I guess I just don't know. So, please let me know your thoughts!

Oh, and the obvious, here's my collection if you wanna take a look and throw me any offers, lol. You can hit me up on Discord: blervin#9759

yo yo give us a shout out too https://cardauctionz.com/market :) upvoted

Awesome thanks, see how out of touch I am, I didn't even know about you!

Hey, I feel you. I too have stopped playing Splinterlands. I simply don't like the direction the game is developing into. So I am selling my cards too. The collection is worth a meager $336 since I already sold more valuable/gold cards.

I would be interested in a free market with the ability to list "all" or "filtered all" your cards with one click. I would even pay a fee for such a commoditiy :)

Great points, thanks for your thoughts.

I think this is just a bug. I just reported this issue (markets not showing card listings at less than 5% market fee) to Yabapmatt. I will keep you updated.

Awesome, I'm really interested to hear what he says so please touch base when you hear back.

Okay, Yabapmatt fixed the error and the < 5% market fee listings now properly show up on Peakmonsters and Monster Market (but not the official website and not on cardauctionz).
