Introduction
Recently, I've been granted permissions to host Splinterlands Open tournaments. In case you don't know what Splinterlands Open tournaments are, they are tournaments where all participants will be given all cards allowed based on the tournament settings. For instance, if the Splinterlands Open tournament is all Modern cards, then you will have access to all Modern cards for that tournament, even if you don't own any Modern cards!
Now that I've been granted this permission, it has finally pushed me to run Guild tournaments, which I've been wanting to do for a long time!
Please read the sections below to learn more about how these tournaments will function and how you can participate with your guild!
First Guild Tournament Format
The first Guild Tournament Format will feature two players from each guild battling it out with other guilds. There will be three tournaments created with the following format:
Event Type: Anytime
Round Duration: 1 Day
Tournament Type: Splinterlands Open
Game Mode: Modern - Chaos Legion & Rebellion
Level Limits: Diamond/Champion
Participants: First member from each guild participating
Second Round Qualifier: Top 50 From Round One
Date: Wednesday, September 18th
Start Time: 12PM CST
Participants: Second member from each guild participating
Second Round Qualifier: Top 50 From Round One
Date: Thursday, September 19th
Start Time: 12PM CST
Participants: Only one member from the Top 10 placing guilds
Second Round Qualifier: Everyone
Date: Wednesday, September 25th
Start Time: 12PM CST
Guild Tournament Entry
In order to join this Guild Tournament, each guild must pay 10000 DEC.
In addition, each guild must declare who their two participants are before Tuesday, September 17th.
Guild Tournament Payout
The vision behind hosting these tournaments are to help fundraise DEC for the two DAOs I created a couple months ago (CARD-DAO & LAND-DAO). For this reason, 25% of the total prize pool will be split between both DAOs in order to build them up and support new players!
The remaining 75% of the total prize pool will be split between the Top 3 Guilds:
- 1st Place = 60%
- 2nd Place = 30%
- 3rd Place = 10%
Example - If ten guilds participate, the total prize pool will be 100k DEC. The breakdown will be:
- 1st Place = 45k DEC
- 2nd Place = 22.5k DEC
- 3rd Place = 7.5k DEC
- CARD/LAND DAOs = 25k DEC
Guild Tournament Scoring
The scoring for each guild will be determined based on the number of wins and ties each guild member obtains during the Qualifier rounds.
- 1 WIN = 3 points
- 1 TIE = 1 point
To determine which guilds qualify for the Finals, I will add up the total points for each participating guild and the Top 10 scoring guilds will qualify for the Finals.
If there is a tie between two or more guilds, I will impose a faceoff where each guild participant will have to Challenge the other guild participants. The guild that wins the most Challenges (best of 5) will take the spot.
Tournament Rules
- Only one player per account - If I catch one person playing multiple accounts, those participating guilds will be disqualified and will not receive their entry fee back!
- There will be no remakes in terms of the tournament unless Splinterlands is experiencing technical issues that affect more than 25% of the participants.
How To Join
Please message me on Discord (.brybro)! We will then discuss how to pay the entry fee and who the guild participants will be.
Each guild participant will then receive the private password for the tournament they are assigned to so they can enter.

No problem Blewitt. I'm hoping to do one of these once a month so there will always be a next time!
I would be interested as playing the ghost tournaments is a ton of fun and I only play silver level otherwise, so any chance to mess with diamond cards makes it more fun. Wild would be even better, but that's probably a smaller group of fans.
10k DEC is not a level I'm up for though partially due to being at a disadvantage not being as familiar with max cards as daily diamond players. So we would be more in for the entertainment if I added a 2nd guild member.
My goal with these Guild Tournaments is to host them once a month and have each one a different format and league level. That way, it allows most guild members to participate at the league level they normally play at while also showcasing which Guilds are the most versatile.
As for the entry fee, I figured 10k DEC wouldn't be that much of a limiter as it would be split between the two participants or even sponsored by the Guild itself. Depending on how this first tournament goes, I may lower it but may raise it too depending on the type of tournament and everything.

Would like to try this but my guild leader was not very active nowadays but if he does, would probably want to sponsor an event like this.
What guild are you in? You can always get one other member from your guild and still join!
Also, if you are interested in a new guild by chance, I have one that I run and we have room!
Either way, I would still like you to participate if you want and even if you guild leader is not active. Just shoot me a message in Discord and we can make it work!
I played for New Bot Order and our members used to received DEC from our leader to rent card for their specific prays and even give packs for members with perfect battle and has me delegated with Runi and Bear but he seems like to be busy IRL and his revenue from rentals has significantly drop so it stopped and the rest of our members only play their brawls with whatever card they have.
That is unfortunate that your leader seems less active as I think it is awesome that he was so giving with guild members!
I have a guild that I run where I help the members out with SPS stake mainly, and I would be open to maybe merging with your current guild if you and others may be interested?

hey @brybro27 something weird is going on with the tournament. I was summiting my teams and I noticed I couldnt pick any Reb Cards. I though, "probably brybro messed up the tournament creation thingy" but then I got wrecked by Reb cards.
This is my tournament selection screen. As you can see no Reb cards, no promo cards, not even legendary summoners.
I don't know if someone else is having this problem, I already reported this to the team directly because unless I'm dumb something is not working properly.
Edit: I just checked with Royaleagle and apparently is a bug on my side, I hope nobody else is having the same issue, have fun with the tournament guys!
