Good morning my fellow Hivers!
I hope you're having an amazing day so far!! I woke up and realized it is March 1st... and that means it is $HIVE #PowerUpDay!! It also means... I need to update a lot of things... like my goals, trackers, etc!! I am excited to share with you some of my $HIVE updates... as well as my Life updates!
First things first - it's Hive Power Up Day or PUD... which means, as a community, we stake some $HIVE to show our support and solidarity with the Blockchain!
This is a great way to lower your #KERatio, which has been a hot topic... and that measures the amount of HIVE Rewards you've earned... divided by how much Hive Power you have. A KE of 2 or less is my personal goal but imo a KE of 3-4 or less shows real commitment to HIVE and the future of the Blockchain.
So where am I at with my goals? What am I doing for Hive PUD??? How much am I powering up... and most importantly... I ACTUALLY REMEMBERED!!!!
One of the cool things about $HIVE is the "Gamification" of this via @Hivebuzz - there are badges to unlock and achievements to earn... @azircon has been my Hive Mentor and I usually don't tag him in things but today - I'm earning a cool badge and wanted to ensure he saw it :)

This month, I am going to try and earn a few badges for my account... the first one being... wait... "BEEing" a big one... the Level 5 Power-Bee Badge 💪🐝
I bought a chunk of HIVE to keep liquid during the "dip"... but you knows dips be dipping and all... so I figured now would be a great day to Power Up some of that... enough to earn a BIG OL' BADGE!!!
So... we have Powered Up 1,001 $HIVE... but I want to do moar... MOAR!!!!!!
should get the Power Up Helper Badge :)What else could I do - oh yeah!! The "Power Up Helper" Badge!! I am going to Power Up 10 Hive to a buddy of mine @star-shroud!!! They produce such great content but they've been AFK for awhile... I'll Power Up 10 Hive for them so they can get the Hive Power Up Day badge and I should...
Ok... so... that's a lot covered and we haven't even looked at Goal/Progress yet!! Well... where the heck are we?!?! Well... a month ago I wrote this:
All that looks good... so lets check on the progress again...
Hive Power Jan 1st = 10k
Hive Power Goal 2025 = 25k
Hive Power March 1st = 12,934
That means I have added 2,934 Hive Power, including the 1,001 I did today in the last 2 Months... rounding up to make life easy... that's 3,000 HP in 2 Months or 1,500 HP per month!
I have set my Author Rewards to a 50/50 Split between Hive Backed Dollars and Hive Power... that will allow me to hit my other goals of:
Use the $HBD to purchase Hive Gaming Assets and keep my KE Ratio < 2... how's that going???

Ok... that about sums up my $HIVE Goals & Progress Report for 2025... so let's check on my Splinterlands Goals!
I haven't made a Splinterlands Progress report in... TWO MONTHS?!?! Holy crap time flies!!!
P.S. - do you know how long it took me to figure out the link to that stupid card... lmaoooooooooo 😭
Anyways... back on track... last time I made a report... on Dec 27th 2024, I had just cracked 600k Staked SPS!!! Check out my previous report by clicking the SPS Balance image below :)
Well... 2 months and some change has gone by... and my plan is still the same...
- Earn 1,000,000 Staked SPS by the end of 2025...
- Do this via Splinterlands Ranked Battles, Land, Brawls and Soulkeep
- Do. NOT. UNSTAKE. This.
That's right - I am earning all of this - not buying it. I mean... even at current prices, 1,000,000 $SPS is like $6,500... and that's not a small amount of money. So instead of buying it... I decided that I am going to EARN it!!
AWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH!!! At a glance, that's awesome!!! But... are we on track for our 2025 goals???
Well... let us do a wee bit o' math!!
Dec 27th Balance: 601,102
March 1st Balance: 698,313
Difference = 97,211 $SPS earned in roughly two months... or... 48,605 $SPS earned per month...
If 2 months of 2025 are behind us... and everything stays the same... that could possibly mean I'd have 1,000,000 $SPS in about 6 months or so in September... or just in time for my birthday!!
I'm not trying to be too excited... but dangit man!! That's a long time goal to hit!!! OOOOOOOOOOH!
With the $SPS Goals stated and tracked... there are a few other Splinterlands Goals for 2025...
I missed the boat with the Soulbound Reward Cards for Chaos Legion and I am paying for that now as I slowly acquire them at great expense 😖
I vowed to not let that repeat with Rebellion Soulbound Reward Cards... and for the record I still ****HATE*** Soulbound Reward Cards... but I digress... I have approached things differently this time and my collection reflects that!
With the new Glint Shop, when you win a Ranked Battle, you earn $SPS (for now) and you earn Glint (formerly $DEC)...
With Glint, you can purchase a lot of things via Gwen's Glint Shop
There are Chests, SBRC Draws for all Rarities and GF Guaranteed, Energy and Merits for Gladiator Cards!
I have been focusing on the "Chest Method" because I think Chest is Best for obtaining a good mix of Cards/Merits/Energy and yeah... LOTS OF POTIONS... lol...
Lately, I have been adding a few "Epic Draws" thrown in... because I am like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to completing my Epic SBRC set... this close...
In fact... I earned a bit o' Glint this morning... let's see if we can get lucky... I neeeeeeeeeeeeed... a Shock Trooper... you know... this guy:

As you saw above, I have enough for three Epic Draws... PLEASE LET ONE OF THEM BE A SHOCK TROOPER!!!!!
Oh well... maybe tomorrow then 😭😭😭😭😭 but that's ok... because here's what I DO have for the Rebellion Soulbound Reward Card set, so far!!
Now... if you're wondering why I don't have ANY GF Legendary cards from the Rebellion SBRC set... you might think "Dang, CaptainDingus really IS unlucky!!! To which you'd be right - RNG hates me.
However, I have pulled ONE GF Legendary Card... ONE... (2 BCX)... and I immediately burnt it for 50k Glint - I figured it was better to complete the RF Sets first... then worry about the GF stuff... and until I do... if I pull another one...
HAHAHAHAHA - I am pretty close to maxxxxxxxxxxxxing out the RF set though... so I might keep it... maybe. No promises. 😉...

My final two Hive goals for 2025 are to onboard 10 new Hive Members and create a "Support Account" for Rewarding both players and developers on the Hive Blockchain!!
If we believe in something... like I believe in #play2earn and #web3gaming... then we MUST empower it!!! Or else it will remain a dream!!!

Whoah that's a lot of info and numbers! I had the same, I had some liquid hive and figured I'm not gonna sell for a while anyway so let's power up... Wait... When is it hive pud? Omg it's today 😅

1,000 000 SPS is a very cool goal, mine is 500k, but who knows with bitcoin and everything dipping we might get some interesting opportunities to purchase assets cheap. Also, if I get into top SPS validators I will be staking everything so who knows...
My goal is to earn it... I have been in Splinterlands for awhile and have spent way too much money on the assets...
But I have earned most of my SPS :)
I am going to earn the rest of it for sure!!!
