This week's share your battle challenge involves using a card from the Fire splinter.
A veteran who is known for being sneaky. Endurance isn't its strength, however its ability to strike its opponents is quite remarkable considering his size.
You might have seen it previously, as it has led many mining expeditions to the dragon's den
Without further ado let's dig into it!
Theme: Kobold Miner
The Kobold Miner is a common card from the Beta edition.
It might be slow and might not resist many hits, in spite of that its mana cost and attack are amazing.

It starts with an melee attack of 1, which can be boosted by the fire splinter.
The fact that it has low hitpoints and speed might make it a target for the Opportunity ability.
It can be yours for 0.04 $.
I believe this is appropriate, the arrival of the opportunity ability has somewhat weakened it.
Since it was released during the beta series, you'll few cards to level up.
Getting the Miner to level 3 might be worth it for many. The attack doubles, thus with the Beta fire splinter you'll have a card with 3 Melee attack that only costs 2 mana.

Where to use
The Kobold Miner should be used on the following rulesets:
- Reverse Speed
- Matches with low Mana cap
- Equalizer
With Reverse speed the Kobold Miner becomes one of the fastest cards available.
With Equality the disadvantage of having low hitpoints vanishes.
Take into account that the Kobold can be rendered useless against a monster with healing at the back.
Moreover abilities like Retaliate and Thorns might be deadly for the Kobold
The Battle
This Battle took place in a tournament.
It involves the rulesets of "Up close & personal" and "healed out"
For this battle the Mana cap was high, due to my rival having far better cards than mine I decided to bring the big guns. It's all or nothing in these tournaments folks!
I focused on dealing damage with as many cards as possible whereas my rival focused mostly on high mana monsters
My Lineup
Robo-Dragon Knight: The newest beast available. Overall amazing due to the Divine Shield and massive hitpoints and armor
Fineas Rage: The best card with reach for the fire splinter. High attack and speed. Great for high mana matches
Serpentine Spy: Great card overall. High attack low mana. Bad placement though.
Parasitic growth: The opportunity companion, another great card available.
Creeping Ooze: Reduces the speed of my rivals, thus making Fineas harder to hit.
Kobold Miner: The Kobold of the week. Should've been at 5th though
I was somewhat lucky in this battle. Not only did my rival bring slow cards, he also didn't bring any card with the Opportunity or Sneak abilities.
My Opportunity squad took down my rival's creeping ooze. My Kobold did the same with the Cursed Slimeball.
Unfortunately for my Kobold my rival brought War Chaang to the battlefield. The retaliate ability ended up costing me my Kobold and Parasitic Growth.
My Kobold was instrumental in doing some damage against the War Chaang though
The fact that the retaliate ability didn't activate against my Spy and and that Fineas is very fast ended up saving me.
See you in the Battlefield!

Whoaaa that's a fantastic battle.
I still can't believe it that you actually won the battle with that tough opponent.
Maybe cause I don't understand the game that much.
You fought very well.
