Splinterlands End of year sale!!!
Well we got the details on the end of year sale and promo card Aggy has been talking about which is the good news. The bad new it's not common player friendly, sadly Splinterlands doesn't seem to want to market to 90% of their player base even in this bear market. They are still targeting large whales and investors. The common player can still get the promo at 1 pack = 1 promo card but even at DEC price of .00075 for a level 5 which is only silver league you'd need 60 packs or 240K DEC which is $180 just for silver. You'd need over triple for gold league. So this isn't necessary a common man price friendly but the promo card because of the sale may be much cheaper once it's hits the secondary markey.
The details of the sale are here in this post by Splinterlands. Overall the sale starts at $10K and goes up to $150 which is out of the price range of many players. Aggy response to this was to do group buy but this requires a lot of work and knowing and trusting the person putting the group buy together.

Enter Neal McSpadden who is a long standing member of the community and previously did a group buy for Chaos League release. What Neal has done is make join a group buy easy and overall safe, check out this post by Neal. Basically, you log into the web site https://splinter.fi/clp purchase a CLP token for 2700 DEC for which you will receive 1 CL pack and 1 promo card. You'll also receive airdrop DEC for airdrop from the pack sale and possible Runi based on how many people join.
Neal will be doing a video on it and I suspect he will talk about the group buy on the next Monster Mavericks show. I highly recommend anyone interest and wanting some promo cards / CL packs join the group buy.
Do not buy CLP off the secondary market without checking the website first especially if they are over 2700 DEC, Also do not buy them on the secondary market after the distribution of the CL packs and promo cards
I was initially bummed out when I hear how the promo was going to be done, I was saving up vouchers hoping they would sell the promo for vouchers and stacking some DEC if it had a DEC requirement. After the announcement I decided I just wasn't going to be able to get any until they hit the secondary market.
But with Neal's no fuss, no figuring out, organizing way of doing the group buy... I'm going to put in enough money to get 220 packs and promo card which will give me a level 8 promo card or max gold league, which will be about $450 dollars. Doing that myself would have only resulted in about 110 packs, instead now I can get double the packs.
I personally am very thankful Neal has decided to take this on himself and give a lot of people the ability to easily get some of the benefits of the end of year sale and pick up the promo card.
I've heard people talk about negotiations for more bonus packs at the diamond / champion levels so go out and join Neal's group buy hopefully we can reach that level and Neal might be able to get some more bonus packs.
