For this weeks contest Iam doing a character that I have never attempted before, even though he has always been one of my favorites, hopefully I can do him justice.
I used this image as a reference.
I started out with a 3D charcter of a old wizard from my poser props library.
I got lucky because as you can see The model was already posed similar to the splinterlands character.
The tricky part as always is adding the textures, I got it to look pretty good, but not not perfect.
Next I added a simple ball prop to his staff, then I added a light glow like material to make the ball light up.
After that, I added a flame to his hand so it would more closely match the reference image
I wanted to make the wizard look like he was a toy on display, so I added a stand, then I animated the stand. I had a little debate with myself as to if I wanted to add light to the ball or not, but by the end I decided to do it, I don't know, it just seemed like the light thing to do lol
