Thank you Brybro. I appreciate more clarification, but the issue I'm concerned with is to make sure that its applicable to all size guilds.
For instance, there are 5 guild tiers and all of them should feel that they have a realistic chance to win part of this pool. In order to do that, I believe you would need to break down the prize pool by tier. An example would be: 20% of the prize pool would go to each tier (or any variation of that you want)... or alternatively 40% to tier 5, 30% to tier 4, 15% to tier 3, 10% to tiers 2 and 5% to tier 1. (NOTE: these are just ideas, but all tiers should have something to look forward to and participate in)
The reason for this is because there is simply no way for a tier 1 guild to win against a tier 5 guild, so they should not be in the same competition. The fact that you exclude the top 3 from winning twice in a row only means that you will likely still pay out only the top 10 guilds (with 3 of those 10 sitting out while the other 7 win each time).
I like the idea of you putting this together, but I want to make sure we make it fun and realistically competitive for all guilds, and not just the top tiers. As its written now, I think it will only likely benefit the top 10 guilds and we have over 600 total guilds in the system.
Even if you can't adjust it now to fit my concerns and I personally can't support it, I still would be willing to work with you further to find ways to bring this idea into existence - of course assuming it doesn't pass as is.
Again thank you for a great idea. I hope one day we find a way to make it happen.
