WHAT IF... No Wild Pass. Energy costs 40 DEC in Wild. Energy does not Replenish.

Dear minions,

Good idea? Bad idea? You decide!! Let's explore an alternate Splinterlands Universe...

What if...

In Wild, energy does NOT replenish.

Modern stays the same. Only Wild changes.

Each season you start Wild with 50 energy.

When you run out, that's it.

Energy does not replenish every hour in Wild.

You can buy more energy.

40 DEC for 1 energy.

This is equivalent to...

2000 DEC = 50 energy (same as Wild Pass)

You can't use Glint for Wild energy. It has to be DEC.

Is this a good or bad Universe?

Post your comments below!!!

In this alternate universe, all players get to try their monster collection in the dangerous Wild arena for a free trial sample. (50 battles)

This helps new players get to see some of the awesome old cards in action.

New players can witness the legendary power.

In theory new players should have trouble ranking in Wild. This is a more dangerous arena full of unimaginable dangers.

New players might win some matches with a Chaos or Rebellion army, but as they face higher ranked mages they will not be able to defend against some of the horrors they meet in the Wild arena.

They will reach a point where to climb higher they must collect these rare older monsters... Or they can return to the safety of the modern arena.

This likely adds a layer of fun for new players.

... But does it hurt other players?

Whether this hurts or improves YOUR personal experience depends...

If you battle 100 times in Wild each season, this is no different. A wild pass is 2000 DEC, or the energy cost is 2000 DEC.

If you battle more than 100 Wild matches, this is more expensive. If you battle less than 100 matches it is less expensive.

Does it help Splinterlands if all players can now do 50 Wild battles free?

How many battles do real human players do each season?

Does this create demand for older cards?

Does this still prevent bot exploits?

Does this add to the new player experience and their perception of long term card investment?

Does it hurt Wild players?

Does it cause confusion if energy works different in Wild?

If you have concerns...

...BURN THIS UNIVERSE in the comments!!!

Suggest your own better alternate Universe.

For example... Imagine an alternate Universe where in Wild the first 50 battles are free. After 50 battles you need to to buy a Wild Pass to keep playing. This unlocks unlimited Wild play.

Old cards provide incredible value on land, but it's also just fun to see them in battle.
