Hey Splintermates, what is going? I know, I am sorry 😇. I have been over a week without creating any post, but I am having really busy days supporting my wife with her new business and with my two boys. So I am very sorry 🙃.
However, Estebam is back again and I am participating in the new Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge, where I am going to share with you a nice Battle Strategy with Katrelba Gobson.
Most of the experienced Splinterlands player already know that the Gladiator cards are very OP and that you need to claim up in the ranking. All Gladiator cards have basically the BLOODLUST ability. Basically, every time a unit with Bloodlust kills an enemy, it gains +1 in all abilities.
This ability, combined with Sneak and double strike, makes KATRELBA GOBSON a monster card. Specially, if you know how and when to use her. There are some ruleset or cards (specially THORNS is a counter ability to her) that provides her a super boost and once the bloodlust ability starts rolling, she is unstoppable.
COMBINATION OF KATRELBA GOBSON with THANE NEWSONG in "UNPROTECTED" ruleset
Katrelba has a best friend in this game and it´s basically Thane Newsong. This card provides to all melee monsters +1 attack. In the BATTLE I am sharing below, my Katrelba gets from +3 melee to +4 melee attack. This means that, in each round, she will be able to hit with 8 melee to the backline monster.
As per the battle, my enemy has a Chaos Agent. Katrelba can kill him with one hit and then, she will get +1 in all stats. Lets analyze the battle:
ROUND 1:
The enemy has set ALL IN with the martyr combination of SKULL with RIFTWING and CHAOS AGENT. My ALL IN is her. As per above, there will be no shields, so Katrelba will do direct damage.
ROUND 2:
Katrelba has been able to kill his Chaos Agent and has won +1 in all abilities. My HILL GIANT has been killed, but I still have Thane and the 2 martys protecting her. This battle looks promising 😎.
ROUND 3:
Katrelba continues killing his monsters and has been able to defeat Skull. Now, her attacking power has increased to 2x6 melee hit points. This must be a GG!😜
ROUND 4:
She keeps destroying the enemy, no chance for him. It´s a GG, nice battle @kuncerux 🤝. I have been able to get also some juicy rewards (not as many as in Modern, but it´s OK).
As per the battle, there are some rulesets that benefits a lot to Katrelba. Not only the "UNPROTECTED" ruleset, but also the "REFLECTION SHIELD" ruleset helps her a lot, where the THORNS ability is useless against her. Try to combine her with THANE NEWSONG and also protect her with 2 Martys, so she gets additional boost. You will LOVE HER😍!
