Hey Splintermates, what is going on? Here I am again sharing some exciting moments in relation to our most favourite game called Splinterlands 😎.

GG MATE!
It happens once or twice every month that you face someone from your Guild in ranked battles. This is exactly what happens in the following battle. If you want to follow the battle with more detail, please check the following link.
The battle I was facing against my guild mate @nozem01 with very specific and skillful ruleset:
- Keep the distance: You can only summon units with ranged attacks.
- Explosive weaponry: All units have the blast ability.
In addition, the available mana was just 19.
My original plan was to summon Kelya to gain speed and armour and use the Swap Spitter as the main tank with the repair ability. This is the theory, let us check how it goes.
ROUND 1 - NICE LINE UP FROM NOZEM
My guild mate uses a legendary lvl 3 Quix The Devious which reduces my ranged attack by 1 and reduces the speed by 1. In this sense, nobody gets a speed buff.
He also uses the Angelic Mandarin to provide healing to the backline units due to the blast damage. This is also very clever done, as the tanking ability of the team increases. And lastly, he uses the Rebellion reward card Mar Toren Trader, which is a very useful card for this ruleset from lvl 4 onwards.
This card gains the Headwind ability, which also reduces the ranged attack by 1. In these battle, as Quix is already reducing the ranged attack by 1 and my main damage is going to be in first position, it shouldn´t affect too much.
Let us see how it goes after Round 1 before starting Round 2.
ROUND 2 - The PLAN is working
As you can see, my plan was to buff the Swap Spitter thanks to the martir ability from the Venari Marksrat and it happened. I also hit Gargoya Devil, so he doesn´t have any shield.
Now, my 2 units from the backend needs to hit his Gargoya and I still have 2 support units with Repair and Triage. It is true that Nozem has also the Triage ability to heal his Angelic Mandarin himself.
ROUND 3 - PLOT TWIST
As you can read on the title, the match has a plot twist 😰 due to Gargoyas flying ability. None of my 2 units are able to hit Gargoya, so I am unable to do any damage and my units have suffered a huge damage. My chances to get the win are very low, but anything can happen 🤓.
ROUND 4 - GG MATE 🤝
No chance to win the battle, his units have hit my monsters and I just have a lvl 3 Igor on the first line, so he is not going to be able to hit due to this specific ruleset. GG Mate and see you in the next battle 💪.
In this second part of the post, I would like to share with how much I like to face guild members in ranked battles. I consider we have been building a nice guild through the last couple of years and we have a lot of active and strong players for our Tier.
We participate actively in Guild Brawls and we are achieving pretty solide results. In the picture below, you can see that we got nearly always to the podium. One of the secrets to get that high is because we share battles and analyze them, what has gone right and wrong. We try to do team work and learn from each other🙌.
Currently, we are fighting a Guild Brawl and it looks pretty good for us, we are on Rank 1. I just have 3 battles to fight in this Brawl, have 1W and 1L. I personally consider that the Guild Brawls are one of the most exciting things from Splinterlands, you can show your whole potential 🤠.
