Weekly Challenge ???

Nectar Queen

The weekly battle challenge should be Electic Eels, but I've never used one of those, so instead I'm going to talk about Nectar Queen.

The stats it has at level 2 are: 2 speed, 4 melee attack 10 health, it has the flying ability. Nectar Queen costs 9 Mana and is an common reward card in the Earth splinter.

The Battle

The rules:
30 Mana.
Armored Up.
Odd Ones Out.
Earth.

I'm not sure how much wiggle room there is in this rule set. I usually play Earth when only even cards are allowed, so I'm aware that Kron, Failed Summoner, Unicorn Mustang, Mitica Headhunter and Oaken Behemoth are all out.

I decide Nectar Queen is going to have to carry me. I put in a Brownie and Creeping Ooze to try to give me a speed advantage and deploy a Mushroom Seer to somewhat hedge against magic. Finally, War Chaang is some ranged damage that might do something if he is the last one standing.

Round 1: My plan worked out largely the way that I'd hoped. There are some pesky magic attacks, but they aren't the end of the world, especially with my mushroom seer there to help me.

Round 2: I kill his Rexxie, but Rexxie gets revived. I take it out for good and spend round 3 working on his Orc Sergeant.

Rounds 4-6 are mostly spent killing his slightly squishier monsters as his 2 big heavies are out of the way already. The contest is over in round 7 when his beefy elemental ends up in first position and can no longer attack.

But the shining star of my team is my Nectar Queen, a tank that survived the entire battle and did significant damage too.
