Hello everyone, today I want to give my personal opinion about the Rare Water Unit Giant Squid from the Untamed Edition.
Aesthetic and Lore:
In this aspect the card is solid, mainly because the design is not that different from the real Giant Squids which lives in the deep of the oceans. I am personally fascinated by this mysterious creature so maybe that´s the reason I like the look of this Monster.
The lore is good too, showing that this Monster is a brutal predator that enjoy playing with their victims before eating them.
Stats:
At Level 1 this card has 2 of Ranged Attack, 1 of Speed, 1 of Armor and 4 of Health. Is good, but I prefer using SNIPING NARWHAL because despite not having Armor, It has more Speed (+2) and Snipe Ability making it more valuable for me in battle.
At Level 4 this card adquires the Blind Ability (enemy attacks have an increased chance (15%) of missing) being in that instance, a Monster I would like to have in my team, but I would need to possess and combine 25 cards.
In Level 8 this card also get the Weaken Ability (reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters) which makes it more valuable for the owner, but you will have to combine 115 cards to get it.
Market Value:
As March 6th, the Price of this card is $1.06. In contrast, you have KULU SWIMHUNTER(another card you receive from the beginning) at $0,04.
I got to say that Kulu gives you less Power because is a Common Unit and if you level it up it doesn´t learn any ability, but it increases the Ranged attack to 4, the Speed to 5 and Health to 6 in Level 10 (combining 400 cards).
Another standard Monster with Ranged attack from the Water Splinter that is cheaper than Giant Squid is ANGELIC MANDARIN at $0.22. This card can adquire at Level 4 the Triage ability (heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage) and in Level 8 Silence ability (reduces the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters by 1), making it another great choice of card to buy and combine.
Outside of the standard cards the game give us when we make our accounts, we have:
- IGOR DARKSPEAR($1.92)
- PIRATE CAPTAIN($2.50)
- NAGA WINDMASTER($2.90)
- PIRATE ARCHER($3.99)
- AZMARE HARPOONIST($5.86)
- AXEMASTER($8.87)
- WATER ELEMENTAL($9.94)
- POSEIDON($49.00)
- TWO GUN PETE($57.49)

Conclusion:
Giant Squid can be a solid card to use it if you level up enough to adquire Blind and Weaken ability, because in my opinion is too low at Level 1 and 5 Mana Cost don´t worth it. From Level 4 and onwards, it would be a card I definitely use oftenly but as we know is really complex to get to that level.
