The play-to-earn video game model is expanding rapidly. Splinterlands, a digital card game that issues its own tokens to gamers that beat online "battles", now has over 1.4 million registered users.
The CEO of Splinterlands, who goes by the moniker "Aggroed", sat down with David Lin, anchor for Kitco News at the DCentral Miami conference to discuss how it is now possible to make a living playing video games and earn cryptos in the process.
"You can literally pay your rent with the money that you're earning in this game," Aggroed said.
For more information on the cryptos behind Splinterlands and how to trade them, watch the video above.
