That was the battle I wanted to show this week for the challenge and also talk about Cursed Windeku and how amazing it is and if you still have doubts about them then I suggest you try it in battle because you will certainly never want to use another one again. defend your first position in the death deck.
First let's start by talking about the card and how it will be useful for your battle.
The image above shows an overview of the card and Stitch Leech is a common card from the chaos legion edition, but if you think that because it is a common and low mana cost card it is not a good choice then it would be better to think about it. again because it's an amazing card to have in battles.
His attack is pretty high for a card with 3 mana cost and that's a very positive point for him, but he's the type of card that will focus on dealing damage to enemy cards so that's the minimum he should have, its speed is very low which is a negative point but it will be very useful in battles with the Reverse Speed rule and its health is low but one of its abilities will compensate for that and I will talk about them now.
Its Sneak ability makes it attack enemy cards in the last position which is very useful since cards in that position are usually very problematic and defeating them as early as possible is a great opportunity, and this ability is present in all levels of Stitch Leech.
Its other ability is Life Leech and it makes it gain health based on the damage dealt to the enemy card and this is the ability I mentioned before that makes up for the fact that its health is low, because as it has a good amount of attack so he will gain a good amount of life when attacking enemy cards and this will accumulate and he can reach unimaginable amounts of life.
Stitch Leech is that kind of card you'll always use in low mana battles in your life deck, because it's great for attacking and even defending if you've gotten a lot of health with Life Leech, so if you still don't use it in battle so you should think again about your strategies.
But now let's meet him on the battlefield.
For the battle I chose the summoner Tyrus Paladium which grants +1 shield to allied cards on the field so it is a great choice against melee and ranged cards as the shield will block their attack before they attack the life of the cards.
To defend the first position I chose Chaos Knight which will be a great defense against melee and ranged cards as it has the ability shield and also a lot of shield.
For the second position I chose Celestial Harpy which has the ability Flying which increases its chances to dodge attacks from cards that don't have the ability Flying and also attacks the enemy card with the lowest health which is quite useful.
For the third position I chose Stitch Leech which will do a lot of damage and in this position it will give him time to accumulate more health because of the Life Leech ability.
For the fourth position I chose Time Mage which will be very useful as it has the Slow ability that reduces the speed of enemy cards and also the Rust ability that decreases the enemies' shield by 2, so it's an excellent card to let the enemy vulnerable.
For the fifth position I chose Peacebringer which is a ranged card with a lot of attack so its function will be to deal damage.
For sixth position I chose Venari Crystalsmith which is also a ranged card but will have the important function of healing the card in the first position with its ability Tank Heal and also taking the positive effects of the cards it attacks with its ability Dispel.
BATTLE
In this battle my opponent used a summoner that reduces the magic attack of enemy cards, but Time Mage will be the only card affected by this so it still has a lot of attack and he has the Venari Wavesmith that grants +2 shield to allied cards with the ability Protect, but Time Mage will take away that shield with the ability Rust which makes the battle easier as it lowers enemy defenses a lot.
In the first round I defeated 2 of the enemy's cards and I didn't have any cards defeated since my cards have a good defense and Chaos Knight is a great card to defend the first position, in addition Life Leech does a lot of damage and is accumulating life.
In the second round I defeated 2 more enemy cards but I had my Venari Crystalsmith defeated which is a bad thing since I lost the healing of my card in the first position, but I still have the numerical advantage and the enemy cards are vulnerable.
In the third round I defeated one more of his cards so there was only 1 left and in the fourth round the last enemy card was defeated and the battle was decided.
In this battle Stitch Leech did a lot of damage and the choice of Tyrus Paladium as summoner was a good choice since the shield it grants made it very difficult for enemy cards to attack which gave a great advantage to my cards and Time Mage took away the defenses which also made the battle much easier.
It was a strategic battle where each card played an important role and this is the battle for this week's challenge, I hope you like it.
LORE
Stitch Leeches are able to heal themselves and others of their wounds. They are found in the deepest caves of the world and are bred from the life energy they take from others. Once they latch onto their victim, they siphon out healing life element to cure themselves. Magical practitioners have even been trained to use them as portable life magic. Though it is a dangerous practice and comes with the risk of the leech biting them.
Archmage Eldanna Willowill pulled the sheet off a glass tank. Inside the plump Life Leeches squirmed, leaving trails of moisture along the glass. Her apprentice, Kyvan Jones, recoiled.
“Their bite is as painful as all the hells, so be careful when handling one,” Eldanna advised.
Kyvan scrunched up his nose. “I don't know if I want healing this badly. They're gross!”
Eldanna smiled. She had thought the same thing when she was a young mage. But experiences in battle had changed her mind.
“When you are bleeding out, you'll feel differently,” she advised.
