It won't happen over night, that's for sure. But you're on a good path. Just keep doing it, improve as you do and the moment will come to jump league.
Consider the EOS jump to gold just a day or few hours before season ends so you're not thrown too far back next season with the rating points and your points go towards gold chests even though you play silver league.
I managed to get >50 gold chests while playing silver league and the improvements on the rewards help building up your budget for the next league.
