Hello everyone, it's Ign1te. In this blog post, I'll be sharing some tips on how I play Splinterlands, whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game. I hope you will find this helpful.
I'll admit, I've been procrastinating about writing blogs lately because of personal issues that have affected my motivation. However, I've continued playing Splinterlands because I genuinely enjoy the game and can't bring myself to leave it.
Moving forward, I want to continue doing what I love - playing and writing about Splinterlands!😄
First, I'll discuss the LITTLE LEAGUE Ruleset, which only allows you to use Monsters that cost 4 Mana or lower.
Little League ruleset, how to deal with it?
To deal with this ruleset, you first need to have the best low mana cards to pick. One of my best lineups that fit this ruleset is Earth and Life lineup. You should also master low mana cards like Epona, Failed Summoner, Chaos Agent, and so on that cost only 2 Mana below, so you can deal with every single battle that only has 12-15 available MANA available. Lastly, know what types of attacks will work best, Magic, Range, or Melee.
LET'S DISCUSS MY BATTLE
In one of my battles, the rulesets were FOG OF WAR & LITTLE LEAGUE. I was matched against a dumb BOT😅, and my opponent's sneaks won't be able to attack because of the FOG OF WAR ruleset. However, even if the sneaks could attack, I can still win the battle.
MY LINEUP
SILENCE
In the FOG of WAR ruleset, Monsters with Sneaks, Opportunity, and Snipes won't work as they should. In this kind of situation, players are more likely to pick RANGE or MAGIC.
Before choosing my attack type, I analyzed my opponent's match history. My opponent barely used range according to the history matches I saw, so I chose Magic and put 1 Silence monster on my team. However, be careful when analyzing your opponent's history matches because sometimes you'll be surprised!
Elven Mystic is a highly recommended 4 Mana cost monster due to its silence ability. One of its main advantages is that it's a neutral monster, making it a versatile option for any deck.
HIGH MAGIC DAMAGE
If my opponent uses the same lineup closely as mine, the one thing you need to be careful of is the enemy's frontline. If my opponent uses the same Frontline, Failed Summoner, I can easily eliminate it using high-damage magic.
Magi of the Forest can easily kick your opponent's Failed Summoner out of the battlefield before any of your magic monsters die due to reflection ability.
REFLECTION & AMPLIFY
Queen Mycelia is commonly used in Reflection rulesets and can also be paired with monsters that have the reflection ability. For those who are new to it, I will explain how Queen Mycelia's Amplify ability work.
AMPLIFY
- Increases Magic reflect, Return Fire, Thorns damage: These are likely defensive ability that reflects attacks back at the attacker. So, this means that the amount of damage reflected back at the attacker is increased by 1.
Using monsters with this kind of ability can be very effective, especially if you have a strong frontline that includes monsters with the Reflection ability. It's important to take advantage of these monsters whenever possible. For instance, the Failed Summoner is a great example of such a monster.
AFFLICTION
- When a Monster with affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying affliction to the target causing it unable to be healed
Choosing monsters with Affliction ability requires careful consideration of various factors. For instance, in the HEALED OUT Ruleset, monsters with healing ability won't be effective, so it's important to avoid them.
Additionally, it's crucial to ensure that your opponent doesn't have monsters with IMMUNITY ability, which can render your Affliction ability useless.
Doctor Blight is a great choice if you want to afflict your enemy's monsters and even poison them.
CHOOSE THE BEST SUMMONER
To increase your chances of winning in battles, it's important to carefully consider your Summoner choice. Summoners have different types of abilities that can impact your gameplay.
For example, in the FOG OF WAR & LITTLE LEAGUE ruleset, I had two Summoner choices: Obsidian and Mylor Crowling. While I would normally pick Mylor Crowling, the FOG OF WAR ruleset made me choose Obsidian to bring magic damage to my enemy and Melees like Sneaks won't work making Thorns ability useless. It's essential to think about how Summoners fit with different rulesets to select the best one that can help you win the battle.
You also need to know how your opponents may counter you!
That's all for my Splinterlands tips! I hope you found the tips and strategies I shared useful for improving your skills in the game.
I would also like to share my leaderboard position from last season. Unfortunately, I did not perform as well as I would have liked, as I ran out of energy to compete on the final day. However, I am determined to improve my rank in the upcoming season.😎
That's all for this article fam! See you on my next blog!🔥
