RE: Splinterlands - How to Win against the Water-Magic attacks (Works every time!)

in #splinterlands3 years ago

Maybe I was not too impressed by a monster with this ability to really try Owster Rotwell enough, but you know what, I'll give it a go, and won't hesitate to add it in here (crediting you of course) if it handles these attacks more efficiently.
Looking forward to trying it in the next few battles! I'll keep you posted in this thread as to how it goes.Appreciate the comment @riandeuk. I've often used the Earth's 'Failed Summoner' in my fair share of battles against magic attacks, but it hardly made a difference against '+1' water summoner.

Sort:

Good luck! failed summoner is not beefy enough on low level so it only really starts to get appreciated in higher leagues (or low mana battles/ little league ruleset). It's actually one of the most used cards in the high leagues after chicken of course :-)

It's true that a strong magic team sometimes still blasts through it, you need some beefy cards to take the initial damage and survive. or some healers. Void+magic reflect would be best of course!

I thought so! I have hardly seen Magic Reflect monsters/summoners being in Gold III and below (I'm reluctant to go any higher with my collection currently), so even thought of a death summoner against magic sounded different.
But hey, now I know, thanks to you! This counter Water attack I highlighted in the blog works every time in the leagues I've been in, but I'm definitely buying our new Magic reflect friend as I move up in the league table!

Happy to help! Yeah, I'm in silver again myself. Used to be in diamond with the rental 1.0 system, was dirt cheap back then. Each league is so different from the next one and I think that makes the game very interesting and less boring. Only downside is the gameplay as well as rewards are kinda boring in novice/bronze right now. Without exploring silver and up I imagine many drop out before getting anywhere..

Anyway I digress, hope you find some new strategies with this :-)
