Introduction
GOBLIN PSYCHIC is included in the Chaos Legion starter pack. It belongs to Earth Splinter, and has the Teank Heal ability the restores 1/3 of the tank's or front liner monster's HP. This monster's ability provides the added sustain for your Earth Splinter lineup which makes it a priority pick.
LORE:
The Magi Tower is where Goblins go to learn how to use psychic abilities. It isn't just a gift Goblins can learn, but due to the proximity of Gobson, Goblins tend to show up more frequently. The Magi who calls the tower home, enjoys teaching the art of using one's mind to move objects and read thoughts. Goblin Psychics use their abilities to perform work in Gobson or become adventurers and practice to become a full fledged Summoner.
MONSTER STATS:
Level 1: Goblin Pyschic deals 2 Magic attacks to enemy monsters, plus Tank Heal ability is cast restoring 1/3 of the front position's health.
Level 10: Goblin Pyschic deals 2 Magic attacks to enemy monsters, plus Tank Heal ability is cast restoring 1/3 of the front position's health, with additional abilities of Affliction, Silence, and Dispel.

MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN requires 9 mana. It deals 2 Magic attacks. It has 2 Speed, 10 HP, and Taunt ability. All the initial Magic attacks were directed to Mycelic Slipspawn due to its Taunt ability. | |
MYCELIC INFANTRY requires 8 mana. It deals 3 Melee attacks. It has 1 Speed, 3 Armor, 7 HP and Shield Ability. It served as our secondary tank due to it's armor and Shield ability which reduces the ranged and melee attacks that lessened Goblin Tower's damage. | |
REGAL PERYTON requires 5 mana. It deals 1 Magic Attack. It has 5 Speed, 6 HP and Flying ability. | |
GOBLIN TOWER requires 7 mana. It deals 2 Ranged attacks. It has 1 Speed, 3 Armor, 3 HP, and Blast Ability. The blast ability incurred additional damage of 1 to the adjacent hero targeted by Goblin Tower. | |
GOBLIN PSYCHIC requires 6 mana. It deals 2 Magic attacks. I has 1 Speed, 3 HP and Tank Heal Ability. It served as our main healer in the game and helped the monsters in the front position to survive. |
BATTLE RECAP
ROUND 1
After Round 1, the Taunt ability monsters are already eliminated for both our lineups. All the magic damages were directed to our Mycelic Slipspawn cards. But since we have 2 tank cards in our lineup, we are on great advantage on this.
ROUND 2
At the end of Round 2, our first tank Unicorn Mustang still has 6 HP, and our major damage dealer Regal Peryton still has 5 HP since it was protected by Mycelic Infantry, serving as our second tank.
ROUND 3
Before Round 3 ends, our opponent already lost it's only tank Unicorn Mustang, putting Regal Peryton in the first position of their lineup.
ROUND 4
At the end of Round 4, our opponent has only Goblin Tower left. And since it's a ranged monster, it will not deal anymore damage once in front position which put us on great advantage. We were also able to emliminate their other 3 cards Regal Peryton, Goblin Psychic and Khmer Princess immediately since our line up has more damage.
ROUND 5
As predicted, our line up is on great advantage. We were able to finish the match in just 5 rounds.
SUMMARY
Did your strategy work?
My strategy definitely worked. Although we both used Obsidian summoner and similar magic lineup, he 2 tank line up (Unicorn Mustang and Mycelic Infantry) with Goblin Psychic's tank heal made a good counter since the opponent only used 1 tank which is Unicorn Mustang. As you can see the Goblin Pyschic and Goblic Tower remained unharmed at the last 2 positions.
What will you try differently next time?
Next time, I can also try to use Mylor Crawling for summoner. Since Mylor provides the Thorns ability to all allied monsters, all monsters deals additional 2 damage if attacked with Melee heroes. Since we already ahve Unicorn Mustang's Void ability to counter the Magic lineup, we should also be prepapred for Melee attacks. I can also try to change Mycelic Infantry to Mushroom Seer for its Silence ability which can lessen opponent's Magic attacks by 1; great counter for Magic lineup. I can also change Mycelic Slipspawn with Wood Nymph for additional tank heal and sustain.
VERDICT | Is GOBLIN PSYCHIC a good card?
Yes, not only that it is included in the Chaos Legion starter pack, but it also provides both Magic attacks and tank heal. It is a priority pick for me if on higher mana cap matches.
