Halving Time -> I got me this shiny new Halfling Alchemist

in #splinterlands5 years ago

Next to all other blockchain stuff which had faded away for a while, also playing the game of Splinterlands was on a lower pace. Because there was other stuff, because I didn't know how the future of Splinterlands would be. But most of all, during this forky-fork time, the site wasn't really working by me. But they are back with a bang! And how!

With the Bitcoin halving coming up in two weeks, they have some special events going on over the weeks including tournaments where you can actually win Bitcoin, but also gifts when buying Untamed packs. Well I still had some DEC laying around here and there from my previous Untamed and Orb sessions, so I decided to get me 5 packs of Untamed cards which is the minimum to be in on the game of getting this Halfling Alchemist card. And just blinks of seconds later, there it was in my digital mailbox

I like this kinds of gifts because they really give you the slight push to do something with your DEC. Speaking of DEC....So you can use it on the Tron Chain, the Steem chain and the HIVE chain at the moment. Not bad stuff to have actually!

Well it was only that I had opened Splinterlands again to find that my current stats at the end of this season had been halved and had been halved again for being idle for two seasons in a row which put me back into the Bronze League where there is hardly any DEC to find, and hardly any rewards to earn. Time to get my ass back into Gold again. But....Is the game on the Steem chain now, or on the HIVE chain? Or how does this work? And maybe more important. Peakmonsters aka my favorite tool. From where does this work? Steem or HIVE?

Because one of the other things that I had found in my seasons rewards was a nice and shiny Orb (man I don't get it why people don't buy Orbs more) and in there was this Mermaid Healer goldfoil which is worth around $30. All for nothing and just idling for two seasons. Not too shabby I would say. Anybody want to make me an offer ;)

All in all, Splinterlands is still exactly in place in this time in crisis, and is such a valuable asset to any chain! Surely one that will stick around and bring enough for all of us!
