Can we really make money from gaming?
I have been making few thousands dollar from Splinterlands! So can you!
TDLR. Capital is still needed.
I have been playing Splinterlands for quite some times and here are some of my strategies (NFA):
Buy the 10$ spellbook & aim for GOLD bracket rank because it gives you the most balance enemy and daily quest chests & season chests. You need go rental cards!
Calculate your daily DEC spending. For me, I only need 1,900 DEC rental per day to go for Diamond 3 Rank.
Since I need 1,900 DEC daily for rental, I calculated the needed SPS to be stacked.
ie. SPS APR is around 150%. With the current price of SPS & DEC, I will need around 10,000 SPS (USD 4,000!!!).
The SPS APR will give you daily SPS return of around 1,900 DEC to cover your rental.
This is given you want to be competitive in the game in the Gold/Diamond Rank.
You can invest lower let say $100-$1,000 and aim for Bronze / Silver for example.
(Yeah no free money, you still need capital. The bigger your capital the bigger your gain, vice versa)

This will give you enough card power and enough balance to keep you in the GOLD Rank / higher.
My next priority is to buy at least 500-1,000 packs of Chaos Legion Deck to be more competitive and it will reduce my need to rent cards in future.
Keep stacking your SPS & DEC, and invest in some useful and good card so your deck will be more powerful.
Once you get your capital back (ie. profit of 4,000$), It is advisable to take your capital out so you will only risk the "free" money in the game and keep grinding. =)
On top of that, stacking SPS will give you the right to purchase pre-sales CHAOS LEGION pack. I heard you need around 35 SPS stacked to get 1 voucher to buy CHAOS LEGION pack.
You can trade the voucher also to earn extra income! The packs will be limited, so it normally increases in values! So keep some to sell it on 2nd hand market!
My prediction SPS will go higher during the Chaos Legion pre-sales period. So hurry up and stake your SPS! =)

You can adjust the capital.
Let say 100$ into SPS and stack it.
Then use the generated SPS to cover your DEC rental.
I think it will give you a good boost for Bronze / Silver rank.
Just make sure you have good money management =)
