Dragons are the most iconic and amazing creatures all around the world and also my favourite Splinter in Splinterlands with their Versatility and Power. They can prepare and overpower against any kind of threat they will encounter.
I considerate myself as a new player, but I love Splinterlands as a whole with their economy, playerbase (no ro-bots included 😜) and the possibilities of their gameplay. All the dragons has their useage, which can turn the battle to their side, but one of them stands out and rules all of them, which is the Chaos Dragon with his sheer power. I always try to include him in the fights as no one (even me 😂) could predict the outcome of his powers
Chaos Dragon Lore
The Chaos Realm has preyed upon many a world, opening rifts in time and space to invade the lands and take from its people. When they attacked Praetoria and the Splinterlands, it was first thought that the minions were compelled through the portal for their fear of the dark shade that lurked beyond the gate, the shadowed image of Uul. Eventually though, when the last of the armies stepped through, there came such a prodigious monster that at first, none could believe it was real. A nightmare dragged forth into reality.
Lets reveal his stats
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Flying | Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. |
Scattershot | This monster's attacks hit a random enemy target. |
Blast | Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster. |
Blind | All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target. |
Ruleset | |
---|---|
Super Sneak | All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. |
Close Range | Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles. |
DELWYN DRAGONSCALE
There is many summoners within the Dragon Splinter to answer all the possible threats, which risk the lifes of our precious Dragons. My chosen one summoner is Delwyn and his ability to increase the magic power of his dragons with magic attack. The huge mana cost allows us to use the best of the best dragons in the game and also included my favourite Chaos Dragon.
Robo-Dragon Knight has huge mana cost, but it is a very effective tank amongst the dragon race. He is well protected against melee and ranged thanks to his huge amount of Armor and against magic he is equipped with Void, which reduce the magic attack by one against him. The Divine Shield ability is the cherry on top to negate the first attack against him.
The Chaos dragon cost a lot of mana, but as long as the tank can holds its position the Chaos Dragon will cause CHAOS between the enemy team with his Scattershot ability. When the tanks fall the Chaos Dragon will still be a formidable enemy as an off-tank, because it will solely target the tank of the opposing team and has got a large health pool.
The Vigilator is an amazing creature, because it has Double Strike, which allows him to attack twice in round (normally it would be ranged or melee). The extra usefullnes is in the Super Sneak ruleset, because it allows him to use his ranged and melee at the same time, dealing a whooping 6 damage in one turn.
Diamond Dragon is a magic beast, which is enchanted by the summoner ability, it has a big armor which would withstand the attacks for long time and has got the ability of Slow, which will reduce the speed of all the creatures of the enemy team.
The choice behind the Lightning Dragon was that he has very big speed and flying (what the dragons usually do 😄), which makes him a very hard target for all the melee and ranged enemies. Also it has 3 ranged attack, which would diversify our damage, so it is harder to setup a counter against
Well "he" or "she" is not a Dragon, but it has got a very handy utility skill, which is the Heal ability matched with a huge lifepool. This will makes him/her the perfect backline of all times. His/her role is solely to survive as long as possible until the rest of his/her teammates destroys the enemy team.
The 99 mana cost ruleset is one of my favourite as it is allows any kind of strategy and the usage of any card that you have. In this ruleset I always chose the Dragon Splinter as it has the best and biggest badass creatures in the whole game. My strategy worked perfectly as the enemy didn't stand any chaince against these superior creatures.
The only change I would make seeing the enemy summoner is to prepare our team against melee damage. Instead of Delwyn Dragonscale I could use his twin sister Daria Dragonscale, where she could reduce the melee damage of the enemy team by one.
Unfortunately, I do not own any of the dragons yet (renting made me possible to reach the sky 😉), but one of my dream is to build up my own collection of DRAGONS.
Thank you so much 🙏 that you took the time to read my second article and I hope it was informative and you liked it. 🤞
