Hi all,
Introduction
Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊
This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of strategy and a market analysis of the price of the card in previous months. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into.
In this edition I will be looking at the Barking Spider.

Strategy
I will be focusing my analysis on the usefulness of this card in lower leagues (i.e. bronze to gold).
This card’s main advantages are its relatively high HP (5) and low mana cost (4). Although not a great card, it can still be useful. Most useful in low/medium mana battels, the card can serve as a secondary tank due to its high HP, while still dishing some damage as ranged. The card can also see some play in the Little League ruleset, again due to its high HP.
Overall, a card that does add some flexibility at a relatively small cost.
Market Analysis
A card that adds flexibility to your play, which is currently very affordable.
Let’s look at the last 6 months.
Looking at the graph, the following can be concluded:
- in regular foil, after a downward trend, the card’s value seems to have stabilized in the 0.06-0.08$ price range. A resistance can now be found at 0.06$.
- in gold foil, the card has experienced a downward trend, which may still continue. There is a long-running resistance at about 1.2$, which will be tested in the next few weeks.
Please let me know in the comments if there is any further information you would like me to include in future analysis.
Stay safe!
