This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of strategy and a market analysis of the price of the card in previous months. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into.
In this edition I will be looking at the Evangelist.

Strategy
I will be focusing my analysis on the usefulness of this card in lower leagues (i.e. bronze to gold).
This card’s main advantages are its 3 ranged damage, and relatively high HP. With the cost of 6 mana, having 3 ranged is massive, and its HP is quite good as well. Obvious summoner is General Sloan, and this card is most useful in High mana battles.
This card is even useful under the Earthquake rule set (where monsters without flight ability will be hit with 2 melee damage after every round ends), due to its snare ability. I find this card very useful and couples very well with Pelacor Arbalest, Shieldbearer and Time Mage.
Market Analysis
A good card to have, currently at about 1$.
Let’s look at the last 6 months.
Looking at the graph, the following can be concluded:
- in regular foil, there is a downward trend, which may continue. I would note that the card performance is a bit above market, as the devaluation is not that steep.
- in gold foil, there is also a downward trend which may continue in the near future.
