Welcome back to our Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
This week, we are featuring the Noxious Fumes ruleset.
Noxious Fumes:
- All units are Poisoned at the start of the game.
- Units with Immunity are not poisoned.
- This is a one-time application - units that are cleansed, resurrected or rebirthed will not be re-applied with poison.
- Enrage is triggered by Poison application.
Noxious Fumes can be a very annoying ruleset and you'll have to have some key abilities to try to offset them. Let's take a look at our Synergies and Counters to see what we'll be up against.

 | The most obvious choice will always be Immunity. If you have this ability, you won't be affected by the poison which will help you last longer in battle. | ||||||||||||||||||||
 Scavenger is also an important ability to have as it's one of the few abilities that can give you extra HP which can potentially mean the difference between a win and a loss. |
 Cleanse is one of the more important ones to have if you can slot it in your lineup. It'll remove the poison on your front line which can help create some strategies for lasting longer in battle. |
This week's feature is from a regular match in Diamond League. Rulesets are as follows:
We only have 1 ruleset this time so it makes things a bit more straightforward. Let's see if we can use as many synergies or counters we mentioned and see how it plays out. Round 1
I have just today started renting Almo Cambio. It's a beast of a card but rent is expensive but I want to see if my win rate can increase because of it. It's a very important card to have especially in this ruleset because of the Immunity. I also used cards with the Heal, Scavenger, Resurrect abilities as they are all good synergies for this ruleset.
Round 2
The start of round 2 still has everyone up and running but the reflect from Almo Cambio is already doing work.
Round 3
Round 3 is where things start to get interesting. This screenshot is before the poison kicks in. Note that my Angel of Light and Dr. Blight are going to die when the poison hits. What's interesting here is that Adelade will resurrect Angel of Light and it will, in turn, resurrect Dr. Blight!
Round 5
Round 3 and 4 were intense and saw all resurrect abilities come into play for both teams as well as all that crazy poison damage. Here in round 5, it's a 3v3 but the Scavenger ability has done amazing work and there's a heal for it to boot so this one is a lock!
