Hi there Splinterfamily
I hope everyone is awesome.
I just wanted to share some thoughts that have been floating through my mind over the past few days.
I am getting back into Splinterlands after being away for quite a number of months – having left after I got caught up in a negative thought process when land v1.5 was launched. I kept thinking “I missed the boat” and similar thoughts, having not gotten in early, when land was initially launched as Unsurveyed Deeds (which was simply because I only found out about Splinterlands way after the initial land sale). This thinking, however, was completely incorrect – I could not have been more wrong. Splinterlands is such a deep and beautiful game, and the Splinterlands team has done such an amazing job with the game thus far. From the art, to the gameplay, to the lore, and actually so much more, Splinterlands is such a treat for someone such as myself, who grew up in love with fantasy worlds, and even more so as someone who instantly took to card games – I played basically any card game I came across, and loved every minute of it.
Land
Splinterlands allows us to experience land more fully, and not just as amazing art on a card. This is where I went wrong, by thinking of it negatively, and strangely enough, it is the main pulling factor regarding me getting back into the game. I really like the thought of owning a piece of land in the Splinterlands, I mean isn’t it a dream for most of us to own land in some fantasy realm? I’ve been browsing through the land that’s listed for sale, and am now thinking of getting a plot, or maybe even two.
Finance and Investment
Regarding the financial/investment aspect – my account definitely took a large dip, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this. However, with such a fun and great product, I am feeling positive about the future of the game. Surely it will pick up again in the future, especially with positive changes being made – I am really enjoying the Glint idea for Ranked Play, and the freedom to max out cards to utilize all their abilities. While I wait for this though, I plan to enjoy the game for the reason I got into it in the first place, and fully immerse myself in the lore, land and card slinging!
Hopefully my little post didn’t bore you 😅 I’ll write a bit more if I get a chance about my forays into Land in future.
I hope everyone stays happy and safe!😊
