Splinterlands eco-system is expanding every year. We've come a long way from alpha packs and now have dozens of packs going back over the years as well as other assets and land.
The latest installments are the glint shop and hall of legends.
The glint shop.
Prices might have gone up but the glint shop is now the place to get your daily and season rewards through purchasing cards, chests or power ups.
I think it's a great idea even if i disagree with the soulbound aspect.
The real question now is whether it's a better idea to buy cards or chests as i try to fill out the new set of reward cards.
In order to do this I hired a large SPS delegation to increase my glint rewards and make sure to fill out the full collection. Since it ran out last season I've looked for another 500,000 SPS to go again.
Since the glint shop opened I've been buying both cards and chests but I have no idea which is the best option. I did hit some good pulls at the start of the season with a gold foil legendary and with my latest 20K glint I will see what the value of these twenty chests adds up to. I don't count potions as anything as they are no use to my account.

This set of chests was a total bust.
24 common cars - 360 glint
3000 merits - 1.5 gladiator packs.
& Crappy potions
Worst rewards i've seen since starting.
That's the danger of gambling on the chests. I could have 26 new rare cards for the same price instead of these crappy results. With that said it won't stop me going for it again when i have more glint built up again. It can't be as bad next time.
Try for yourself.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

I heard someone say that the ultimate chests are actually better than major or minor, as you're bound to get Legendaries. I like to think these are major draws?
Absolute gamble though and I believe the rewards are terrible
I bought a dozen ultimate chests at the start of the season and got a GF legendary so it was a better result altogether.
It's all gambling but that's why we keep doing it. Trying to hit those big rewards.
Pretty poor rewards, as always lot of useless potions like happens to me

So annoying to see all those potions. Energy or merits aren't too bad but the potions kill me.
SPS is quite cheaper now so anyone who wants to buy should take that advantage now
I have a good stack of SPS already but would always like to build up even more. You can never stack enough tokens.
