FERAL SPIRIT
Lore
Forever caught between dimensions, the Feral Spirits (and all Luminous Beasts) are the result of the Obliteration of Light, a horrible destructive event in which all the living vanished from the surface of Khymeria. These spirits do not hunger or thirst, but their fangs still bite and their claws still slash.
Stats
The Feral Spirit costs 3 mana, and at level 1, the level I'm using, has 1 melee, 4 speed, and 2 health. He also has Sneak at level 1, meaning that he can swiftly attack the backline.
While he doesn't gain any other skill, he does get some impressive stats with 6 speed and 4 melee at max level. Even though he's quite frail, thanks to his speed, he can make a good sneak dodge tank.
Preparations
Ruleset
- Allowed Splitners: All.
- Mana Cap: 21.
Since there were no restrictions, I wanted to use a really fun strategy that I liked to use before when Feral Spirit was part of the base set. Although it'll be a little tweaked because I'll be using some new chaos legion cards.
Cards Used
Card | Description |
---|---|
LORNA SHINE She's one of my favorite summoners. She gives Divine Shield to every monster. This ability ignores the first attack a monster receives, meaning that they will at least survive one attack. This is important since most cards I'll use have low health. | |
GARGOYA SCRAPPER This 1 mana monster is useful as cannon fodder. I only chose it to take a few hits, since I had 1 mana left after choosing the rest of the team. | |
SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT The most crucial card in this strategy. She has the ability Inspire at level 1, giving +1 melee to every ally monster. See where I'm going with this strategy? | |
TRUTHSPEAKER Another great support card. She has Protect, giving +2 armor to every monster. This, combined with Lorna, means that the whole team is really protected, especially against melee and ranged attacks. | |
CELESTIAL HARPY A melee monster with Opportunity. She's benefitted from the Silvershield Knight's Inspire and is able to attack the enemy with the least health. | |
STITCH LEECH A sneak attack monster, attacking the backline and having 3 melee thanks to the Knight's buff. 3 melee for 3 mana is crazy good. | |
FERAL SPIRIT As stated before, he goes in the back in case the enemy goes for a heavy sneak strategy, to dodge tank the attacks. |
Battle
And now, I'll tell you about the battle. However, to see the full battle, click here!
ROUND 1
The fact that the enemy went for a melee team helps me a lot since the Truthspeaker will protect all my units. Although it might be a little hard to take down the Lava Launcher since it has Shield, which allows it to take less damage from physical attacks.
After the summoners and support monsters give their buffs, the Feral Spirit is the first to attack thanks to his great speed. Then the Serpentine Spy tries to defeat the Truthspeaker, but she's protected by Divine Shield. However, the Chaos Agent wasn't as lucky, with the Harpy defeating him. Finally, the Stitch Leech sneak attacks the enemy, leaving him with only 2 health.
ROUND 2
Once again, the Feral Spirit starts attacking, and this time he manages to defeat the Tenyii striker. Then, the Harpy and Stitch Leech defeat 1 other monster each, leaving only the biggest threat left: Living Lava!
ROUND 3
Even though the Living Lava takes less damage from my attacks since it's being attacked by 4 monsters, he's bound to take damage, and it'd take a long time for it to defeat all of my monsters. It manages to defeat my Gargoya, but not before being left with only 3 health.
ROUND 4
The Silvershield Knight, Feral Spirit and Harpy each attack the enemy, ending the battle at last.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Even though the enemy went for a great tank in Living Lava, they were overwhelmed quickly by all of my attacks.
Lorna and the Truthspeaker were a great help for this battle, protecting all of my damage dealers. And the Silvershield Knight was also crucial since, without her buff, the Living Lava wouldn't have taken any damage from all but one of my monsters.
As for the Feral Spirit, he's a great card, for his low mana cost, and thanks to his speed, he's able to take down the enemy before they're even able to attack, while also avoiding incoming attacks. He's a great card and I wished I had him to use him more frequently.
