Hello People! Hello Hive!

in #splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

Greetings!

This is an introduction post to tell you a little bit about myself.

Who I am, how I got here and what I am up to.

I am not going into the depth of my personal life. I mean we are not on instagram, right?

Who is Pilatrax?

I am 37 years old and I work as a freelancer for the entertainment industry in germany.
I love to play video games, mostly RPG's and Cardgames but also almost everything that my boomer APM can handle without getting depressed.

In the summer you can meet me at my local dropzone, jumping out of airplanes. A good way for me to forget about a stressful week and reload my batteries for future projects.

Maybe I will even make some skydiving content if you are interested but for now its just this fisheyepicture of me holding on to our beautiful "Skyvan" (Cessna Caravan) before jumping into the depth. ;)

I also like to travel around the world, meet interesting and creative people and share ideas and thoughts and lift each other up.

Another important thing in my life is my passion for Pen & Paper (mostly D&D at the moment). I play in various groups, some as a player, some as DM (Dungeon Master) and love to roleplay with my friends where we create unique and memorable moments in a make believe fantasy universe.
A D&D Adventure in the splinterlands universe? Sounds exciting!

How did I end up on HIVE?

Thats pretty easy to answer. A few month ago my friend and mentor @flauwy-1up introduced me to splinterlands! My interest in online card games (like Hearthstone) and the fantasy genre in general made it very easy for me to get hyped, when I first saw the game. I started playing and immediately got hooked. Flauwy helped me with the techstuff and shortly after I was able to buy my first cards. I made a little money with that, started staking SPS and rented cards to grind my way up. One season I even made it to Champion III with almost only rented cards.

After trying out some stuff, learning more about HIVE and everything around it, the ONEUP launch started and I was lucky enough to be one of the early investors and get myself a whole bunch of ONEUP!

Future of Pilatrax

First of all I want to engage with the community and learn more about whats going on here and I am excited where my journey is taking me.
Besides curating and supporting people who make good content I wanna start blogging about blockchaingaming but propably mostly splinterlands at first.
I have some ideas for future content that might include other topics as well, so stay tuned!

For now thats all! See you on the HIVE!

Also, letting you know since content on the Hive platform is monetized, using other people’s ideas or images could be considered as an offense and which is also viewed in a serious light on the blockchain. Thanks for the advise! I will look into it.
