Fair Splinterlands Chaos Legion Pool (Panda Pools)

in #splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

Hey all,

I'll be organizing a pool for the Splinterlands Chaos Legion pack sale (general sale, without vouchers, bulk deal), to take advantage of the guaranteed packs, extra potions if we can get to 25k packs ($100k) and the (slightly) increased airdrop value.

Potions can be used. If we don't have a lot of participants, I'll let people open them themselves on the pool account if they wish to do so. Otherwise I can open them for you, or you can open them on your own account with the potions. If we have a lot of people, I may have to restrict this to the larger contributors.

(Note that letting you open them will go through changing the keys beforehand, giving you them, you open packs, send cards out and changing them afterwards. Only allowing the opening of exactly the amount of packs you purchased and finally changing the keys again. This process should be safe.)

I will be getting quite some packs myself, but we need at least around 10k more packs, which is why I'm writing this announcement post. Additionally, I'll add full details on this pool's mechanics below:

Details

  • Each pack costs $4, the same amount as if you were to purchase them yourself. Packs will be sent out as soon as we've received them in the pool account.
  • The collection currency of choice is BUSD, due to its stability and Splinterlands' acceptance of it.
  • Potions will be available to be used.
  • Card Airdrops are currently planned to be given out according to the system described below:

Card airdrops

Guaranteed airdrops will be given out to whoever's packs they were guaranteed to.
Probabilistic airdrops will be given in the following method:

  1. Let participants choose raffle or sale.
  2. Split the cards into raffle/sale based on the collective's packs. Basically a raffle between the 2 categories.
  3. Raffle within the raffle category and Sale within the sale category, splitting sale funds to people proportional to the amount of packs contributed.
(Not that this method is basically the equivalent

There is also some slight extra value for you since some guaranteed airdrops won't have one specific person to distribute it to, but instead a set of people. Here we will use a raffle again.
The fair distribution mechanism for this follows:

  1. If you get 1 airdropped card for every x packs, then attribute everyone {amount of packs purchased} modulo x points.
  2. Then raffle them according to these points.

-=-=-
For example:
Guaranteed airdropped card for every 400 packs.
Arius gets 1500 packs.
Bortus gets 1300 packs.
Together they will get 2800 packs, so 7 guaranteed airdrops.
Arius gets 3, bortus gets 3... That's 6. The remaining 1 card was created from a 75% arius contribution and a 25% bortus contribution. So arius should have a 75% chance of getting it and bortus a 25% chance.
They will also get additional airdropped cards from probability, distributed with a ~46.5% chance for Bortus and 53.5% chance for Arius.
