Splinterlands Battle Challenge - SILENT SHA-VI

in #splinterlands2 years ago

Good day to you all Splinterlands fans. Its time for another Battle Challenge and our featured card is one of my favorite monsters from the Death Splinter. Let's begin by taking a look at its stats below.

Challenge Rules

THEME: SILENT SHA-VI

Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: DEATH
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Sneak

Battle Ruleset

Mana Limit: 22

Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

Lineup Strategy

Summoner:
Thaddius Brood

Aside from giving access to our featured card from the Death Splinter, the -1 Magic attack and -1 Health this Summoner applies to enemy monsters would be a great advantage to our team if our opponent decides to use a Magic attack lineup.

Tank:
Cursed Windeku

Our tank monster has one of my favorite skills in the game, Thorns. This ability returns damage back to Melee attackers when hit. The perfect skill for a tank monster.

Death Elemental

Our Snipe monster will give us an edge against Magic, Ranged or monsters with No attack not in the 1st position since they are the priority targets of this monster.

Life Sapper

At the middle of our lineup is a Life Leech monster that uses Magic attack. It can definitely suck the life out of its target since it uses Magic attack that ignores armor damaging them directly while also increasing its own Health.

Silent Sha-vi

Next in our lineup is our featured card Silent Sha-vi. This monster will help us in eliminating enemy monsters at the last slot using its Sneak ability. We're placing it on the 2nd to the last slot to protect it from such attacks.

Carrion Shade

At the last position in our lineup is this monster. Although its not able to attack in this position, its main task is to protect Silent Sha-vi from Sneak attacks.

Our opponent chose to use a Water Splinter lineup against our team. Although its not a Magic attack lineup, the -1 Health debuff will still be applied to all enemy monsters, thanks to our Summoner Thaddius Brood.

We lost Carrion Shade in Round 1 due to the two Sneak attack enemy monsters in our opponent's lineup. Although the enemy team's armor is quite enhanced by their chosen Summoner and another enemy monster, we have two Magic attack monsters that does not care about any armor on their target.

Using their Magic attack, Death Elemental and Life Sapper were able to eliminate two enemy monsters in Round 2. Our opponent's lineup has lost their tank monster and is now left with two Low Health monsters while our team still has a decent amount of Health left.

Death Elemental once again hit its target which immediately died upon impact. Cursed Windeku also did a great job of using its Thorns ability against the Melee attacker that tried to poke it giving our team another victory.

Conclusion

Although our opponent did not use a Magic attack lineup, the other debuff that our chosen Summoner applied to all enemy monsters (-1 Health) was still active. Having two Magic attack monsters was the key strategy that allowed our team to win this battle since our opponent's team had addtional +2 Armor each.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Although our plan of reducing the enemy teams' Magic attack did not go well, using two Magic attack monsters in our lineup made the big difference. Those Low Health enemy monsters did not see our Snipe monster coming.

Do you like SHA-VI? Why or why not?

I like using Sha-Vi because of its Sneak ability. With a decent amount of Attack power and Health, it can surely pack a punch on those Low-Medium Health enemy monsters.

That was fun, isn't it? Till next week fellow Splinterlands fans. Have a great weekend!!!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.

Dear @poohdie, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
