Lyra & Lorn's Shop is the place where the Battle Mages can use their vouches to obtain amazing stuff! The first exclusive card that was introduced when the shop opened it's doors was the Mana Warden!

The 4-mana dwarf is both a fighter and a cleric, with his new ability called Shield Ward. Fallin Enderbeard, a hill dwarf from a small hamlet in the Kingdom of Lyveria, is both a renowned priest and a formidable warrior. When Wilhelmdale rose against the Chaos Empire, he led his clansfolk to the city’s defense.

Now he's gone forever but another remarkable card took his place! Are you ready for the anti-hero Ulfga the Blighted? She was once a proud dragutsu of the Gloridax Empire, known for her martial prowess and leadership. Now she's waiting for you and your vouchers!

When Dr. Blight's plague spread, she led efforts to evacuate the afflicted to isolation camps in hopes of containing the infection's spread. During one such mission, she encountered a group of plague victims who had hidden their symptoms and she was infected!

The disease transformed her into something terrible, as her scales became mottled and sickly, weeping with toxicity. Her limbs deteriorated until she could no longer wield a weapon.

She is a walking cornucopia of contagion that refuses to die, for the plague has given her a horrific form of immortality. Game of Thrones vibes! What is dead may never die! She bursts blight from her wounds and spreads to those around her, and then she rises once more. Ulfga still wanders Praetoria, stripped of pride, honor, and sanity. You need 1,500 vouchers to secure this legendary unit, but I bet will be a worthy investment!

It's time to get a five mana dragon card with Rebirth, Weaken, Slow, and two new abilities! Savvy battle mages who've followed the latest additions to the Tome of Knowledge might know... but for normies... I present you Untrainable and Poison Burst!

The Untrainable ability is what the name says, meaning that Ulfga cannot gain any attack power through Weapons Training. Is this a deal breaker?

The Poison Burst is a great addition, and Ulfga has a 100% chance to apply Poisoned to attacker that will defeat her! Also she has 50% chance to apply Poisoned to units adjacent to attacker. It's a blast of noxious fumes, making affected units lose two health at the beginning of each round.

Weaken, Debilitations, and the new Untrainable gives mixed vibes. However, the Poison Burst plus Rebirth combo has a chance of poisoning your opponents twice! I hope you've been loading up on them Vouchers!

What about using both Ulfga The Blighted as a tank, and the Shield Warden behind to boost her with Shield? This could be a winning tactic! Until the right moment, it's only Fallin Enderbeard who's bossing the battleground!

What's the secret formula for an unbeatable team? There's no magic trick... just knowledge, experience and a bit of luck! The summoner chosen for the next battle was the Helios Matriarch, as her level let me use the Drybone Barbarian at level six!

This impressive unite will be able to retaliate, deal crazy damage when enraged, and will benefit from the Shield given by the Mana Warden. More buff prepared, and my team was ready to rumble!

Hellios Matriarch: +1 Speed & +1 Gladiator

Drybone Barbarian: Melee with Enrage and Retaliate

Mana Warden: Melee with Shield Ward

Pelacor Conjurer: Support with Flying and Reflect Magic

Nimbledook Explorer: Support with Protect

Pelacor Arbalest: Ranged with Double-Strike

War Pegasus: Ranged with Flying and Shatter

My tactic was built around the Drybone Barbarian, bulking this behemoth with buffs! The support units were strategically placed to delay the attacks on the ranged units... and hopefully keep those alive enough! The War Pegasus made a strong start, dealing an attack that shattered Djinn Chwalla's armor!

The djinn wanted to flex it's muscles but his attack on the Drybone Barbarian not only enraged my bad boy... but made him retaliate! Challa was down in a blink! Everything was timed well, and my tank gone into berserker mode!

By the end of the second round was all clear... I was cruising towards the victory! I am not saying my opponent made a poor team selection, but that Venari Marksrat was pointless in the last position!

image.png

Brute force is good when your attacks hit the target ... but the Drybone Barbarian kept missing! This team didn't and it all ended after four rounds, when the Pelacor Arbalest dispatched two accurate arrows! See the full battle here!

It looked easy this time, but only because my tactic and team selection was spotless! The Mana Warden is a game-changing card, as the dude can make a beefy tank even harder to kill! What's your take on this new card?
