Splinterlands stands out as a trailblazer in the world of blockchain gaming, offering a revolutionary experience that blends excitement, strategic depth, and the transformative benefits of decentralization. I fell in love with the game since 2020, and enjoyed every battle since then!
The game is remarkable... let' me go further... the game is exceptional! The Hive blockchain technology ensures transparency and true ownership of assets, while its accessibility invites players of all skill levels to dive into its rich, engaging universe. The result is a gaming experience that’s not only fun and rewarding but also unique within the blockchain space.
At the heart of ++Splinterlands++ is its vibrant and knowledgeable community, filled with seasoned players and industry experts who are always eager to share their insights.
Whether you’re a newcomer looking to learn the ropes or a veteran honing your skills, tapping into this collective wisdom is the key to mastering the game. Are you ready for a remarkable journey?
Splinterlands holds a special place in my heart because it managed to keep my play2earn passion alive, even when other blockchain games left me feeling disillusioned. Don't let me start about Alien Worlds, Wombat Dungeon Master, RPlanet and many more!
The engaging gameplay, rewarding mechanics, and thriving community rekindled my excitement for the potential of blockchain gaming, proving that play-to-earn can be both fun and sustainable.
What about unwrapping packs or opening rewards chests? That's the best thing ever, knowing that a legendary card can be waiting for me! It's not happening that often... but it is truly remarkable when is happening!
I got some spare DEC and I decided to grab some Rebellion packs before they sold out, hoping for a decent drop! The first pack came with the epic Executioner Kraan, and I was already happy!
However... when the gods of random are kind... they are all the way! The second pack didn't bring an amazing drop, but the third one was legend... wait for it ... dary! The runemancer Zebajin was ready to join my crusade!
According to the lore, Zebajin Tala'varis is a formidable runemancer and veteran Riftwatcher! He has worked closely with Bera Dallin, conducting unconventional warfare, covert operations, subversion, and the training of local citizenries in guerrilla warfare against the Chaos Legion.
The legendary earth unit may look a bit too expensive, but the ten health points and his ability armored strike makes it unique. Imagine when Zebajin goes hulk-mode with the Last Stand active!
It was time to battle-test Zebajin, and what better way than boosting his magical powers with Obsidian's blessings! The 42 mana cap was generous, even if the battle-rules skimmed the selection!
Odd-Ones-Out left only the cards with odd mana available for this battle, and no neutral units were available due to Taking Sides. Had no issue to build a team that will rely on spells and mysticism.
Obsidian: +1 Spell Power
Pelacor Mercenary: Melee with Flying
Zebajin: Caster with Armored Strike
Rune Arcanist: Caster with Weaken
Regal Peryton: Caster with Flying
Mycelic Slipspawn: Caster with Taunt
Djinn Biljka: Caster with Camouflage and Void
I didn't selected any gladiator, ignoring the Aren't You Entertained? battle-rule. The strategic choice was made so I could select more units. Noa The Just was the first to fall, was resurrected by River Hellondale ... then fall again!
My strategy included two tanks, all spells being directed to the Mycelic Slipspawn and the Pelacor Mercenary to defend the casters from direct melee hits. It was clear that the Slipspawn demise would come first!
The Kulu Masterminde is a top unit, but due to his Weapon Training skills not for his tanking ability. His demise was swift, and his place was taken by Nerrisa Tridown. It was looking like an even battle!
The Pelacor Mercenary did a decent job, surviving more than the opponent's tank, but he couldn't handle the rain of spells that came upon his way. It was Zebajin's time to shine!
He casted a spell that surprised Nerissa, then hit her with the armored strike. Double damage! The mighty Nerissa was down by the end of the third round, and River was now in a difficult position. Only two attacks, from Zebajin and the Rune Arcanist, and he was eliminated!
The Regal Peryton delivered the final blow, and Zebajin's debut brought a victory. I am thinking about ways to improve his Armored Strike for the next battles! See the full battle here!
