Korgha Ghashglok led the Duratuk's shadow war against the Torvingor Kalamenty from the forests of the Northern Highlands. Her mission? Tracking the legions’ movements and orchestrated devastating ambushes against their convoys and patrols!
According to the lore, Korgha was using pools and streams as scrying mirrors, she followed the Legions' every move! She orchestrated ambushes so devastating that they became whispered tales of dread among the empire's soldiers. Her shamanism turned the land itself into a weapon... slowing her enemies, blinding them with fog and fear, and ensuring their counterattacks crumbled before they could begin.
Retreat, for her foes, was no escape but a death sentence. Her victory was unespected and against all odds, and not many know that her once pure heart was corrupted during her campaigns!
As the Chaos Empire's grip slackened, the cities of Solace and Oasis slipped from its grasp like sand through trembling fingers. Despite repeated campaigns to reclaim these strategic strongholds, the empire's legions were met with humiliation! The where forever harried and forever outmaneuvered by Korgha’s raiders!
Through relentless cunning, unwavering persistence, and a bond with the land that no invader could sever, Korgha proved that even the mightiest legions could falter, and that the fight for Praetoria was far from over.
This unit costs a hefty 10 mana, but it’s an absolute game-changer! The Warborn Shaman's high magical damage and void armor makes this unit a force and brings domination on the battlefield. But wait... there’s more! As it levels up, she gains abilities like Impede, Ambush, Poison, and Heal. Seriously, are you kidding me? This isn’t just a unit... it's chaos incarnated! Pun intended for World of Warcraft players!
The Warborn Shaman must battle, and I was lucky to get some good battle-rules upon first try! Equalizer and Wands-Out gave a good dynamic to this fight, with only casters being available for selection. I used the 48 mana cap to select both over-powered units and cheaper but deadly ones.
My strategy was to keep Djinn Muriat alive for longer, through Corrupted Healing, while the other casters are nuking the enemies. I was surprised to see such a poor line-up, with only two enemies selected for this glorious battle!
Thaddius Brood: +1 Gladiator Card and -1 Spell Power to enemies
Djinn Muriat: Caster with Void Armor and Knock Out
Warborn Shaman: Caster with Void Armor
Usut: Caster with Flying and Bloodlust
Venari Bonesmith: Caster with Life Leech
Arachne Weaver: Caster with Corrupted Healing
Magi Necrosi: Caster with Snipe and Camouflage
A scroll written with blood is the only memory left of the battle that changed Korgha forever, the day that she accepted the darkness. As the battle commenced, she was met with an unexpected sight—only two enemies !
Skok Duskblight and Usut, remnants of a once-mighty legion, now reduced to mere obstacles in her path. For a fleeting moment, she a pang of disappointment.
Was this truly all they could muster? Had they underestimated Korgha so greatly? Or was there some hidden trick lurking beneath their rotting flesh?
Regardless, She did not hesitate. Her army surged forward, unrelenting in its assault. Djinn Muriat, bathed in Corrupted Healing’s dark energy, stood like an immortal guardian, soaking up the futile strikes of the undead.
Skok Duskblight, despite his ferocity, fell first. His wails of rage echoed before he was silenced, his necrotic form collapsing into dust. Usut followed shortly after, his corrupted energy dissipating into the void. Their defeat was absolute, their souls shattered.
Yet, as their essence scattered, something strange occurred. The Warboard Shaman, a faithful spellcaster, did not merely witness their demise... he consumed it.
A guttural chant emanated from her as the lingering remnants of Skok and Usut's undead energy coiled around his form like a living shadow. Her body convulsed, her veins glowing with a sickly purple hue.
The air crackled with dark power. What had once been an adept spellcaster was now something far more sinister. She had absorbed their strength, their knowledge of death magic, their very will to persist beyond the grave.
As the energy settled, the Shaman straightened, her eyes now burning with an eerie light. Her aura was different!
She become stronger... she had transcended the limits of mortality, now carrying within him the echoes of those he had vanquished. This was more than a victory... it was an ascension.
The next battle would not be fought with mere magic, but with the stolen might of the fallen. See the full battle here!
