Splinterlands: Season's End

In less than 24 hours from the time of this post, another season will come to an end at Splinterlands! Some players are making a frantic attempt to push their way onto the leader board. Others are hoping to hold their spot on the boards. Me? I'm doing neither. I'm one of the many who are waiting to collect our season rewards. Waiting to see if I get something juicy.

Until then, I'd like to highlight one of my favorite tanks to use in the first position. Living Lava.

Living Lava might be slow with only 1 speed, but it more than makes up for it with 3 melee attack and the Shield ability. Shield reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks.

Living Lava is vulnerable to magic attacks, but magic attackers are usually not near the front line. So, you should support the Lava with monsters using the abilities snipe and opportunity.

I'd also like to highlight the artwork behind Splinterlands. Some of the cards out there are simply amazing. The added lore behind each monster truly enriches this game.

The effort put into both the art and the lore is what first drew me to the game. The same appealed to me when I first found out about Magic: The Gathering (before I discovered the joy in wiping the floor with my opponent 😉).

That's the fun part about creating games like these.
