Today I will talk a little more about how I started playing Splinterlands, how I met, who taught me many tips, difficulties and my first impressions.
Let's go!
#splinterlands #play2earn
Browsing some specialized sites about blockchain games I ended up reading some articles about several games and, among these games, Splinterland.
I browsed through the biggest play to earn games and tought splinterlands was for me personally the most attractive. It seems to me that you can earn some dollars while only needing to put in $10 to start with (the spellbook).
Starting from scratch in any kind of game is really not the easiest of tasks.
The difficulties faced by all beginners are big and, to win them, it takes will to learn, determination and, of course, patience.
You need to learn all the game mechanics, what are the first steps, the first battles, the items, the elements, the monsters, that is, it's all new.
For me the difficulties were even greater, as, in addition to all the knowledge needed to be able to play, I needed some lessons about browser extensions, keychan and the basics to register for the game.
Once the hurdle for registration was passed, which is worth repeating, it was not easy for a novice, even because it was the first cryptogame that I enrolled in, so I started to play in learning mode to familiarize myself, at least a little. , with the dynamics of the game.
The learning mode, although totally necessary for a novice like me, certainly can't synthesize all the fun of the game, and the “skin in the game”, in this case, the ranked mode, is much more dynamic and the emotion starts.
So, once I had gained a little experience in learning mode, having caught a little in the initial battles, and seeing that I could not improve "by chance", I saw that it was necessary to go into the field of didactics, having then started to research several tutorials, videos and images, dedicating them get to know more deeply about the characteristics of the cards and their influence on the battlefield.
My status at the moment of writing.
What I can say, in my simple experience, is that knowledge is one of the main points of Splinterland, especially since without such your battle formation ends up being totally random and without any foundation.
Such a situation, in this case, the random choice of cards to simply fill the amount of mana, did not prove to be assertive, especially because Splinterland is a very dynamic game and a wrong card choice can influence your victory or defeat in battle. .
And, when facing an opponent who has studied the cards and knows what the effects, benefits and harms of each one are, you will certainly have great difficulties to have any chance of winning the battle.
So, after reading several websites and watching videos on youtube, I tried to focus my battle formations on a specific element, in this case, the water team, with more magic cards and a summoner that increases magic damage, granting benefits to all my letters.
In summary, to conclude, I can say that after having participated in approximately 1000 battles, my opinion is that, overall, Splinterlands is a great game. The barrier to start playing is low. Altough I’m only playing for 2weeks, I really appreciate the game.
As the battles go by, and gaining experience, you are able to understand all the dynamics and the need to know the cards for the best formation of your deck, so my impressions about the game itself are excellent, being Splinterland very fun able to hold your attention for hours.

To end my first blogpost, some take-aways I learned, maybe usefull for other new or soon to be new players:
- The Splinterlandscommunity is really adorable. I have played plenty of games in different themes, but this community surely is the least toxic and most helpfull of all of them! A lot of people helped me out with my questions and with some delegations, so THANK YOU!
- You can earn some free cards through giveaways on peakd.com or splintertalk.io or by watching streamers on twitch. #nosleepgang
- Probably the most important take-away for myself: Make sure that you have enough hive-power, so you don't run out of resource credits. Yesterday I wanted to rent some cards to achieve silver3 eos, but I ran out of resource credits, so it seemed I was stuck in bronze1. Luckily a nice guy from the splinterlands discord delegated me 10k power. If you read this, THANK YOU!
My first end of season rewards, so happy with all these cards! :D
I wish all of you the best of luck!
Ps: Sorry if there are some English mistakes, I tried my best! :)
