Evaluating the Problem
This seems like a modern format problem @Yabapmatt what about Wild?
If the 300,000 Alpha and Azmare Dice cards are combined to level three
For example there would be only 938.5 Tyrus Paladiums using current circulation.
And only 43 Max non GF Alpha summoners
In Beta 798 Level 3's and only 76 Max Summoners.
Assessing the Proposed Solution
While this seems to make sense for Modern is it logical to have this apply uniformly to wild formats
If the argument is using CP is the main argument, then how would this impact rentals and penalize players who use higher CP cards from older editions.
This proposed change to how card levels used in battles affect rewards would be a big first step in the direction of removing CP requirements for ranked leagues altogether.
The alternative?
It uses the actual cards used in battles which will go a long way towards encouraging players to combine their cards and/or to rent higher level cards, which, as we discussed above, is absolutely vital to this ecosystem.
In this scenario Bots would just buy the same set of cards run the same formulations and have them maxed to a league cap in perpetuity using cheaper Chaos edition cards over more expensive Wild cards in the Modern Format.
This is not going to be fixed with removing CP limits
Feels like when we first introduced collection power days so what changed to turn it back off?
Team Creation UI Updates
This makes sense, would it apply to a Furious Chicken at level 5 vs a Level 6 Furious chicken at Champion, or in a no melee ruleset allow you to play a level 1 Chicken without penalty?
Long Term Thinking
I don't agree that long term proposals should always affect all Leagues equally
Modern and Wild is the correct way to address these problems
If possible it may be better to target leagues and even tiers that have problems.
Can you compare the bot problem in Diamond and Champion compared to where this issue primarily lies in Gold and Below.
If we can see solutions that target problem leagues while promoting growth I am all for these type of changes and testing.
I feel that true long term thinking requires changes applied on a focused set of problem Leagues and that changes should also depend on the Format.
That said if this proposal passed I propose we prioritize Ghost Card Leagues so new players can decide which cards are the best and make their purchases accordingly, if they can't see the cards and play with them a bit how will they interact with them if they do not own them and don't even know they exist :)
Besides gameplay down there can be quite dull if they don't see the fun potential we will be limiting our growth :)
Cheers Yabap :)
Walk down Memory Lane :) Are we just repeating Wild problems back in the day with the Modern Format?

Would rather see ghost card tourneys and let everyone compete with the max cards to see and test cards out beats getting nerfed in the newbie tourneys by maxed players haha.
Then have the real tourneys pay bigger rewards after everyone had some play cards to try out.
