Introduction
Hello everyone! Welcome back to yet another one of my Battle Mage Weekly Challenges! Today's post will be short and sweet since the featured battle is not long.
Battle Ruleset:
This ruleset gives every single monster a Magic Reflect ability. In order to win this ruleset, it is advised not to include any Magic attacking monsters or to bring Void ability. Another strong ability to bring is Reflection Shield since it negates reflected damage.
The featured battle allowed Water, Earth, Death, and Dragon elements to be played with a total mana cap of 20. The ruleset combination was completed with Odd Ones Out and Wands Out rulesets.
My Team:
Quix the Devious was chosen because of the speed manipulation he brings for the Void Dragon.
Void Dragon is a perfect frontline tank for Wands Out rulesets. Not only does it have Void ability, it also makes great use of high speed with Phase.
Djinn Muirat was chosen because of its great amount of Health and Voided Armor, and 3 points of Magic damage. The Djinn is my main source of damage.
Battle Strategy
My battle strategy for this battle was to use monsters with Void, Phase and Void Armor abilities, and to try to bring as much damage as I could.
Battle Link
Turn 1
Void Dragon is looking pretty strong against slow opposing monsters. Djinn Muirat is getting damage reflected back to it, but it has Void Amor so it will take some time for the damage to go to its health.
Turn 2
Spirit Hoarder was defeated this round. My team is looking even stronger now.
Turn 3
Nothing major happens in this round - just a back-and-forth with some magic damage.
Turn 4
Mycelic Slipspawn gets defeated in this round. Djinn Biljka is the only monster still standing on the opposing team with 1 health point left.
Turn 5
Djinn Biljka receives a finishing blow from Djinn Muirat - and in this round of the battle, it is proven who the better Djinn is.
Battle Rewards
Conclusion
In the end, my strategy was superior. Void Dragon was the most important part of the puzzle with both Void and Phase abilities. It is also worth nothing that Void Dragon received zero damage from the Magic Reflect ability throughout the battle.
