Introduction
Hello everyone! Welcome to my Battle Mage Weekly Challenge post featuring the Equalizer ruleset!
Battle Ruleset:
This ruleset increases the health of all monsters in the battle so that each monster's health matches the monster with the highest health amount. It is advised to bring monsters with low health and a good combination of other stats. I often bring Life Leech monsters into this ruleset, and cards like Ever-Hungry Skull and Dumacke Orc.
The featured battle allowed Fire, Water, and Life elements with a mana cap of 34. The ruleset combination was completed with Rise of the Commons ruleset.
My Team:
Possibilus the Wise grants a strong combination of Reach and Trample and additional 2 health to every monster on my team.
Cruel Sethropod is my frontline of choice. It brings a bunch of Health and Armor for only 3 mana.
Coastal Sentry is the perfect partner for Possibilus - attacking from Safety with Double Strike and Trample and 4 damage.
Pelacor Bandit is a great card for only 3 mana. He brings 3 damage with high speed and Flying ability. He was placed in this position to tank with evasiveness if the first 2 on my team faint.
Deeplurker is another monster that is good with Possibilus - mainly because of the Opportunity ability. It also has Poison ability, which makes it even deadlier.
Merdaali Guardian is my supporting monster in this battle. She brings Tank Heal and Armor Repair. Healing is increased by the +2 Health Possibilus buff.
Angelic Mandarin is another supporting monster on my team. It protects against Sneak monsters with Triage ability. Healing is increased by the +2 Health Possibilus buff.
Battle Strategy:
My battle strategy is to overpower my opponent with Coastal Sentry and Deeplurker, and to take advantage of Trample as much as possible, all while supporting my team with Tank Heal, Armor Repair, and Triage.
Turn 1
No monsters were defeated in this round.
Turn 2
Deeplurker defeats Chaos Knight and tramples and poisons the next in line. Chaos Knight gets resurrected by opposing Chanseus.
Turn 3
Cruel Sethropod is defeated and Deeplurker tramples once again.
Turn 4
The trampling continues, this time Coastal Sentry is the culprit.
Turn 5
The battle ends this round with Coastal Sentry and Deeplurker trampling over.
Battle Rewards
Conclusion
My strategy worked pretty well in the end. Over the course of the battle, my monsters trampled 5-6 times, each time dealing an additional turn worth of damage.
