Introduction
Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Social Media post about Splinterlands! This time I'm going to write about my journey in Silver league for the first time in ages, and share my tips for new players that are looking to journey into the Gold league. As someone who has been playing in Diamond and Gold leagues ever since the SPS requirenments were introduced, I was taken by surprise when I saw I was placed in Silver league after the Season reset.
Let's see what happened...
After being unable to play for the last 3 days of the Seaon, I ended up with 2497 Rating points...which put me back at 1750 Rating points, straight back to Silver 1.
And thats exactly where my problems started.
Being unfamiliar with Silver meta, I struggled to win games and my Rating continued to decline.
Thats when I decided it was enough...It was time to rent cards and purchase additional energy.
Strategy
After inspecting some top league battles and listening to discord advice, I decided I was going to rent Llama, Kron, Lorna, Lily, Oshuur, Vruz and Kralus.
My strongest plays were:
- Lily + Vruz + Kralus + Oshuur + Adelade
- Llama + Kron
Even though I had pretty competitive cards I still struggled to reach Gold for 3 days straight.
And then it happened, a magical 5 game win streak that finally did it.
Below are the last 3 games of my jorurney of escaping the SILVER HELL!
After seeing that my opponent uses Immortalis regularly, and combined with the fact that no melee monsters were allowed to be played in this battle, it was clear that he was going for Immortalis play once again. Thats why I decided to bring the good old Sloan into the action and overwhelm my opponent with Ranged damage - which turned out to be a good decision.

I decided to go with Martyr Kralus play. In the end it worked out against lvl 1 Yodin because Halfling Alchemist missed every single attack against my Kralus. It never gets old beating Yodin.

And there I was, once again on the brink of Gold league, wondering how many times I've been in the same position in the last 3 days...
I quickly loaded up another battle!
Possibilus against Possibilus! What a trilling battle. Luckily my combination proved to be stronger.
+44 and out of Silver HELL!
Conclusion
Be careful about dropping out of your usual League since every League is totally different and hosts seperate metagame.
What I found out in Silver league was that Bloodlust cards and Martyr cards are extremely strong. +1 to stats is so much better than in higher leagues which are more balanced due to more card abilities.
