OK I understand your point. It's clear that user with much Hivepower can upvote all others and stay at the end.
But the idea is that they will by doing this bring some reward to the other users, so that everybody win something:
- One get a card.
- The other get a payout in Hivepower.
I am open for all suggestions you have to improve this idea.
My point actually that your idea gets fallen apart because of what I wrote above.
I would compare it with Fabiyamada. She is with great voting power compared to other participants so far, it is worth to notice that her voting power is far below of Biandi for example. Fabiyamada is helping your contest buy upvoting other comments thus adding a substantial reward value.
In this last case that I wrote above you can see one taking a reward while not contributing at all to the contest. Namely other comments are not getting any value.
All in all very few participant really received author rewards so far for their comments in your contests. That is because only Fabiyamada was big enough to bring reward value of a comment to the minimum payout of Hive Network.
OK that's correct. I hope that I can solve this issue with presenting cards of higher value, not I have the third legendary card in a row online, so this cards are more worth than the summoner.
We will see what happens now.
By the way: I think contest #17 is quite funny.
I an yet to engage in other contests. And it is need to say, I am finding your last changes very creative and I am glad how the idea is growing.
One thing I am noticing that I needed when I participated. A clear time line of entering the contest. I kind of miss a post or comment at the 72h time mark stating that 72h have past and that you decided to grant more participants to join in. And the last is your current post of the last call.
Cheers!
Suggestions? Well, that is hard one. How would you improve upvoting of your participants? That would be your goal.
Logically you could start thinking from making a rule that every participant need to upvote other comments by some small percent like 10%, 20%, etc.
OK would be an idea, but much work to check this all.
I cannot see at hive.blog with what voting-power a comment was voted.
So I prefer to reach this with attractive cards and not by rules.
The last three cards are more than 1 USD worth each, I think all three together more than 5 USD, so I think it will be even a good deal if you upvote 10 comments with 0.03 USD, so everybody of this 10 would get a payout, to get the card.
For example you can see link to this comment
https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@dexy50/re-wer-gewinnt-qdj764
And in browser address bar you replace its peakd.com part (in your case hive.blog part) with hiveblocks.com and you get
https://hiveblocks.com/splinterlands/@dexy50/re-wer-gewinnt-qdj764
There you find all about payout and voting.
ok let's keep this in mind, but I want first reach this without to strict rules - let's see how it work first ...
