Newbie's guide of renting Earth Deck to reach Silver!

in #splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

Hello dear reader,

Thank you for taking interest in my post.

This post is to help newbies like me by providing some basic decks that could be used to climb to silver.

My first advice would be to get a couple of wins until you can save up to rent this guy:

As of writing this post, the cheapest you can rent him is 0.17 DEC per day!

Getting Mylor Crowling will make it easier for you to climb to Silver 3!
This summoner will give your monsters the thorns ability, which is great on Bronze League!

This means you can rent him for one day, and once you win a couple of times, you can already break-even, with some spare change to boot!

For your monsters, you have a free Unicorn Mustang.

The Unicorn Mustang has the void-ability which decreases the magic damage it receives by 1 one.
It's a strong front liner, and I use him most of the time. And it's free, so what more could I ask for?

Once you have extra DEC, you can rent a Wood Nymph for healing.

And Beatrix Ironhand for backline damage, and she has the close-quarters ability, which lets her attack even when she's in the first position.

You will also need a Furious Chicken and Creeping Ooze.

To buff up your team.

Once you've reached Bronze 1/Silver 3, you should already be earning 2 to 3 DEC per win.
Save up some DEC until you can rent Kron the Undying:

As of writing this post, Kron the Undying is worth 10 DEC per day of rental, but it would be extremely worth it, since it has 10 health, 3 magic damage, and Heal.

All in all, you now have a total of 32 mana cost deck.

Mylor - 3 mana - 0.17 DEC
Beatrix - 6 mana - 0.10 DEC
Unicorn Mustang - 8 mana - 0.10 DEC
Wood nymph - 4 mana - 0.10 DEC
Kron the Undying - 10 mana - 10 DEC
Liquid Ooze - 1 mana - 0.10 DEC
Furious chicken - 0 mana - 0.11DEC
Total of: 32 mana - 10.68 DEC

With 10.68 DEC per day, you should be able to reach Silver 3 possibly Silver 2.
And you should be raking up some DEC to enable you to rent stronger cards in the long run.
The deck composition is interchangeable, depending on the conditions.
This deck can carry you until Bronze 1 and possibly Silver 3.
