OK. So we now have the first season with the new rewards system under our belts. Let's take a look and see how the results compare to the previous season, which was still on the old system. You can see my stats from last season in this post - https://www.splintertalk.io/@cryptoznewb/splinterstats-season-74-report-card

The competition definitely got tougher as it became much cheaper to rent out cards, so running into teams with multiple max level legendaries was a much more common event. I played 47% more matches this season, and had a noticeably poorer winrate

In terms of number of cards won, I definitely did not end up with 47% more. In fact, I only earned three more rewards cards than the previous season! I did end up with significantly more Gold foils (5 vs 2) and about 5x the DEC, so maybe it all balances out in the end.

Interestingly, DEC earnings from winning matches was down quite a bit, especially when averaged by the number of matches. This season I only averaged 7.5 DEC per win as opposed to 12.6 last season.

🟣 Rental Report

TypeDEC (fees)
Revenue2068.719 (13.372)
Expenses(0.000)

Rental income took a beating as the markets shifted a lot and I haven't spent enough time reconfiguring my rentals.

⭐ SPS Report

Type⭐ Amount Claimed
Airdrop937.676
Staking Rewards400.097
NET SPS1337.773

SPS income dropped as well. But that's expected as the pool size for both the airdrop and the staking vault increase.

Overall, I like the flow of the new rewards system. It feels much more natural and I can play as much or as little as I want without the pressure of needing to complete a daily quest. In regards to rewards, it seems a similar outcome to before, except for the additional Gold Foil cards and the large boost to DEC rewards. Which I'm OK with!

It will be interesting to see if this next season follows the same pattern.

I also noticed that my DEC won per game was down compared to last season, even in the higher leagues.

Interestingly you ended up with more cards than me even though I made it into Champs III... but I did end up with quite a bit more DEC, so that's a good reason to keep pushing... Thanks for sharing!!
