The new season is asking me to pay for it, and much of my cards are beta and untamed, so I feel forced a bit to get the pass, as I do not like Modern that much, seems a bit limited to me, and my Rebelion and Riftwatchers cards still need upgrading.

I participated in 40 tournament, my best season ever, and I won something on 24 of them, mostly 670 SPS and 15 DEC.

So total rewards are 2106 SPS, 11 Vouchers and 15 DEC, valued at $20.74. Now from this total I need to deduct 40 Vouchers - $0.44. It is getting ridiculous.

SPS is at the lowest value I've seen this year, I think, and it may gop even further down, with the Season pass. I got the feeling that this will hurt, at least short term, and I hope Splinterlands can do something to get new players, and to make them stay and play.

Like you too, I don't like this. However, I've gotten the pass, if it doesn't really pay at the end of the season, I might just have to stop playing and thinking of what else to actually do.. I can't compete in modern either, too tough for me..
Using vouchers, the cost is $0.44, so if you get more SPS than that, you are fine. The cards are supposed to be un-soulbound eventually, i believe. And then we can sell. Us and the the other thousands bots.

Well, probably a bit south of $14K, but 7K was for a 100 Lands pack.
