Water splinter team to play in silver (guide).

in #splintertalk3 years ago

Hi im @manezinho and i have been playing this game for 3 seasons by now and reached diamond 3 in the first season by renting a strong team and grinding for 1 day the maximum amount of elo possible, but now with the changes in the season rewards(season rewards will count on the end of the season tier) that strategy is not viable anymore, so i decided to stay in silver and play only to complete daily quest and reaching DEC capture rate until 75%. The water splinter is very strong in this elo due to magic damage hitting card life points before shield.

Summoners:

Alric Stormbringer gives your team 1 magic point. In Silver elo the level cap to rare monster is 4, and i rented this alpha lvl 4 card for 100 dec a day, this dec rental cost may change over the season but if you spend some time searching in peakmonster.com a good deal is always there.

Alric Stormbringer is the core summoner in this strategy but in silver elo the game rules often times make the water splinter not playable in that round, so i usually rent some Dragon summoner to use in that ocasion(sometimes water and dragon splinter cant be used and then you are screwed but that is rare). I usually rent one of the following summoners:

Brighton Bloom is a summoner to be used when earthquake rule is active, which dos damage to all card who does not have flying ability.

Sometimes Byzantine Kitty can be found with an affordable price and its a strong card to be used with high speed monsters. But keep in mind that this summoner cost 7 card points and should be used in rounds with high card points cap.

This summoner gives the same buff as Alric Stormbringer but is a commom monster so it can be used to level 5 in silver elo. I think this is the best dragon summoner to be used in this strategy because it will sinergize with the magical monsters that we'll be renting but it's difficulty to find a lvl 5 at afordable rental price.

Water Monsters:

Ok here we need magical water and neutral monsters to synergize with Alric Stormbringer. But first lets take a look at a couple of tanks to be in frontline:

This card is ideal in this strategy to be in frontline with the exception of low card points cap levels.

In this case Battle Orca can do a pretty good job at taking damage in order to your magical cards make ther play.

This card only cost 4 card points and have 2 magic point(with the Alric Stormbringer it will be 3), and the Sneak ability can help completing sneak quest.

Ice Pixie only cost 2 card points and can be used to complete the team in low cap card point rounds.

This card only have one magic damage but al lvl 3 have the stun ability wich can make you win difficult rounds.

This card costs 6 card points but as a commom card can be used at lvl 5 wich have a decent 5 health points
and 3 speed points.

Normal Monsters:

This normal card is very good and i use it a lot, it costs 5 card points and at lvl 3 it have 2 magic points, 6 health points a 3 speed points.

Another normal card that is extremely strong, at lvl 3 it have 3 magic points(with Alric Stormbringer it will have 4 magic points, every hit makes 4 damage directly damage to enemy monster health).

This card is only usable in high card point cap rounds(it cost 8 card points) but have magic damage and and 9 health points at lvl 1, i usually put this monster at back line to absorb damage from sneak attacks.

Another default monsters

Furious Chicken is a all around versatile card tha can be put in the backline or frontline to absorb a hit and should be used in any strategy.

Creeping Ooze is very special because is the only 1 card cost that have slow and can be used in the majority of rounds.

Thats it, my two cents in water splinter, keep in mind that i dont covered all possibilities in regard to water and neutral monster and focused in affordable DEC rentals to be used in Silver elo, thanks for reading(im sorry for any English errors, im Brazilian and my first language is Portuguese).

Great post. I stay in Bronze most of the time and while I switch between Alric and Malric a lot now, Alric was my first favorite when I started playing.

Lately though I've been moving away from only using the magic strategy with water. I've been playing Bortus and I've realized that Water has some really powerful non magic monsters too. It's been fun to mix it up.
