Hi everyone! Pogier here with Brawl Report #9! I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THIS THAT I WILL DISPOSE OF ALL FORMALITY.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This brawl result was something I didn't expect but my guildmates are awesome! Everyone pulled their weight that there are a lot of awesome matches in store for you today! Let's get started!

Sneak Peek

Remember the WOO? This is why! But how can it be that high?

Overall Guild Performance: FIRST PLACE

image.png

Since I joined the guild, this is the first time we took FIRST PLACE! We did this with 76 wins, 33 losses, and 0 draws. For our effort, we got 83 crowns with each participating member winning 4150 merits. Yes. That's 2 gladius packs! That's why this article has bonus pack openings in the end!

Captain's Bounty
For this brawl, the bounty has been set on Team KR! The captain even gave us a small pep talk!

How can anyone not get pumped?!

Special Mention to @rptron, @shallwish, and @rosa35 for being our Top 3. Extra special mention to @lostintime for a perfect brawl!

Personal Brawl Results:

In this brawl, my score was 4 wins and 3 losses. This was not my best brawl, but the modes were against me! I'm just glad my guildmates won a lot of their matches and essentially covered my butt!

Battle Replays

Battle #1: Lose

My first match was a loss. I don't have any water splinter cards rented for gold league. This put me in a great disadvantage. I was thoroughly crushed by Alva the Crusher. Having a tank in the front like her made all the difference. Things are not looking good for me right off the bat.

Battle #2 The Bounty: Win

I am up against VIP from TEAM KR, which was the bounty set so this means game on! Surprisingly I expected my gladius card to carry me to victory, but there was no need for it. It appears that they didn't even have cards for this brawl, so the match was way easier than expected. Levelled up cards will always have a greater advantage than non levelled up cards.

Battle #3: Lose

I lost this match because I wasn't able to destroy the Kron before my units were decimated by the earthquake game mode. No excuses for me here as I did not prepare enough.

Battle #4: Win

In this match I decided to fully support my gladius card. Her job was to decimate the backline and the extra armor from the Tower Griffin was there to at as support. Coupled with Byzantine Kitty, my team was able to take the speed advantage and secure the win!

Battle #5: Win

My Sarius (the gladius card) was the MVP here. I relied on neutral cards in this round and it was a great choice! The extra armor from Tower Griffin was what gave me the extra edge. Once their tank was destroyed, it was downhill from there as they didn't have any sustain.

Battle #6: Lose

In this match, I ended up losing the moment my tank was destroyed. My rented decks require heavily on neutral cards, and this time around I didn't have enough Earth tanks to prevent the onslaught of Magnor's Trample and the incredible damage coming from the backline!

Battle #7: Win

The teams are pretty identical but once again I won because I used leveled up cards. If they had used the limits of the league, this match may have gone another direction. This shows to always bring your A game to the brawl so you don't give your enemies free wins.

Guildmate's Bounty Matches

@Papadoge's match!

At first glance both teams have the same strategy in mind, but the crowd control strategy papadoge played proved to be the smarter choice! After the a bit of fighting, it was obvious that papadoge was going to win, especially the moment papadoge's Chimney Wallstop got a kill. He would only get deadlier over time.

@No2's match!

This was a really unexpected match! The opportunity and blast ensured that whoever got the first turn would be able to hold the advantage. In the start, Phantom of the Abyss was the able to decimate the backline of the enemy but the momentum was not sustained. Things even got dangerous at one point, but no2 still secured the win as Phantom had full health and hit like a truck.

@BP9930's match!

Here's our boss showing us how it's done! The divine shield proved to be the difference between victory and defeat. This allowed our awesome leader to get a win, showing us that's how it's done!

@lostintime's match: Versus BJI1203

For people that don't know, BJI1203 can usually be found in the top of Champion League.

image.png

Our man Lostintime was up against a beast of a player and won! It was a 12 mana back to basics and close range match. Bringing in Lorna Shine proved to be a great choice to secure the win. That was LiT!

Guildmate Brawl Highlights

@lostintime's match: Tanky Lich

This match was dominated by our very own Lostintime! The Almo Cambio blocked almost all damages and by the time it died, it was only the Kron that was left standing. Before it even got to that point, the Lich was able to stack enough points and with the void ability from Mimosa Nightshade, the lich was able to tank well. The match would have ended faster if the Gargoya Devil was in the 3rd position, but you know what they say, "Hindsight 20/20".

Lessons Learned:

There is always room to grow as different kinds of game modes and different play styles of people would give birth to different kinds of situations. It is by learning from our guildmates and their matches, as well as learning from our mistakes that we become better brawlers. Our achievement of winning first place this time around is a result of everyone's hard work! Let's continue to rise above! For my guildmates, I can't wait for us to be able to share that super awesome image. Yes, the one we're reserving for being #1 a lot more times!

Bonus 2 Gladius Packs!
